Continuing on from here

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 20:57:13

Hope things improve soon Amber. DH's new job means a 5.30 start which is beyond shite but at least he's employed I guess

QueenCadbury Fri 23-Aug-13 20:54:05

Ugh amber I complain when dh leaves at 7 and gets home at 7. Leaving at 5 is a long day for both of you,

QueenC we've had a bad run of it - he is crazy busy at the mo - he left at 5am this morning and has just walked in the door. Not usually this bad.

shop I am gutted too - will definitely be there in Oct even if I have to palm the kids off on the aged Ps. Probably best for my spending ban that I'm not on the loose in C Lon though!!

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 20:31:18

PM Dry

Brilliant Shop !!! I'm on the case now....infact I might just book a ticket and let everything else sort itself out nearer the time!

Yay shop I too can make it, DP is buying my train ticket this weekend grin

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 19:50:39

Ladies I have good news....... DH has his shooting dates, and I can make the MU 12th October!!!!!!

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 19:45:04

To be v clear - I have no interest in Union J whatsoever!
Amber I am genuinely gutted. I keep claiming you as my mate whenever I visit the DR and was looking forward to actually being able to say I'd met you face to face! Another time smile

QueenCadbury Fri 23-Aug-13 19:34:01

Sorry, dd2 was playing up so had to post too soon. She's now in bed! foxy hope you're ok.

amber that's an arse for you. Does he often have to work weekends? Dh works some and I hate it.

I've never heard of union j yet dh who thinks that jumpsuits are for old ladies, has grin

foxy sorry to hear you're injured - hope you make a speedy recovery!

Bad news guys - DH has to work tomorrow so I'm stuck on childcare duty sad - make sure you drink my share of the fizz!

Oh shop they're babies....it's wrong. No wonder DD fancies them...they're prob same age as her!

QueenCadbury Fri 23-Aug-13 19:22:19

foxy can you take some painkillers and rest up. A combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen is fine if you are ok to take both.

LinusDKD Fri 23-Aug-13 19:15:16

I know I'm not their target audience (by a couple of centuries) but I think those UnionJ boys looks like creepy waxworks with scouse brows in that picture.

foxy I really hope that it's more shock than anything else and that you'll feel better in the morning.

shop your singing neighbour reminds me of my neighbour in my halls of residence when I was an exchange student at KCL.

She was lovely sober but turned completely Jeckyll when she had a few too many drinks, which happened often.

Her song of choice was 'What if God was One of Us' and she would sing the chorus at the top of her voice repeatedly in the middle of the night, then stop for half an hour, just long enough to wake me up again after I finally had dozed off for the umpteenth time. I still can't stand to hear that song <shudders>

mig DH went to Orford a couple of times when we still lived in London and one time we had delicious oysters near Orford Castle.

one what a nice compliment!

DD did brilliantly at nursery today. She didn't cry at all and played happily the whole hour she was there. Oh, and ate a big portion of fruit puree. smile

Annianni Fri 23-Aug-13 18:46:43

I agree with McNally, Foxy... when I last fell down the stairs a couple of months ago, I was much better the day after.
I just had a monster of a bruise on my hip.

Have a hot bath and ibuprofen or wine

McNally Fri 23-Aug-13 18:29:01

I meant to say Foxy, I fell down the stairs earlier this year. The first 24 hours were bad but it got much better quite quickly. Much more quickly than I'd expected. Hopefully you'll find the same.

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 18:16:55

Positive power of MNV got Novice her house (yes I am making sure we take credit for that), so I have no doubt we can will Foxy 's back better smile

McNally Fri 23-Aug-13 18:15:54

Congrats novice! So exciting!

Poor you Foxy. I really hope you're better enough in time. I have my fingers crossed for you.

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 18:15:16

Sleep was Barcelona tumble
Ha! Union J She has been singing ALL DAY with full band. When she first moved in it was great - she has an awesome voice. But they keep rehearsing one song over and over - I think I'm going mad!

shop just asked DD who UnionJ are...she nearly passed out when I told her my MN friend lives next for to someone who knows them!!!!confused

Bloody hell Foxy that sounds bad...wasn't it you who fell down stairs in Barcelona? Have a hot bath, deep heat, take it easy ........ Cuddle your boots.

Ooh Novice brilliant and well done!! wonders whether my suite will be ready for Oct wink I don't have a clue how many sq ft I own.......will get tape measure when I get home!!

QueenC hope you've had a great final day......I'm always sad at the end of holidays but happy to get back to my home and my own bed.

Off to check Amber's blog

foxysocks Fri 23-Aug-13 18:06:23

it starts on sunday. fuck fuck fuck. i am so worried. I feel nauseous and have done since it happened.

Oh foxy that sounds awful and very painful sad I hope you feel better soon and it must be so gutting when you have something big planned

shopafrolic Fri 23-Aug-13 18:02:31

Foxy i've messaged you back. Please look after yourself. Does the yoga start on Monday or Tuesday? Perhaps that might give you a little longer to recover?

foxysocks Fri 23-Aug-13 18:01:18

have replied shop

am having an awful day. fell down the stairs last night and am in a lot of pain in my hamstring and lower back. I cannot BELIEVE this has happened two days before the biggest yoga week I have ever had to do. am close to tears and have been all day.

so whether I can come to the MU is totally up in the air. but tbh I am more - and massively - concerned about the yoga. that is my priority and if I can't do it I will be so so so gutted.

sad sad
