I've always had bad coloured teeth, they've never looked white. All the girls I know use whitenings kits/strips but I'm not sure which one to go for. If you have used any, which one would you recommend?

Don't know about strips but I've used the arm & hammer toothpaste and that's the only one that will keep my teeth white with how much tea and coffee I drink

I tried one from boots- can't remember the name of it though. It came with two plastic trays that you warm up in hot water and mould to your teeth, then stick the whitening stuff on the tray. Takes 5 mins twice a day for a week. It worked pretty well, took off some stains and whitening a shade or two. It was very cheap and worth a go!

Are your teeth yellow or grey?

If you've had tetracycline antibiotic as a child you could be one of the many with grey dentine. No matter how many times you whiten these, they just look grey. In fact they look worse with whitening.

If you have thick enamel it can look yellow, and whitening works well for these kinds of teeth.

I'd give your or any dentist a ring and see what OTC kit they'd recommend.

Fwiw whitening in the dentist isn't very expensive, and they can do a great job, while safeguarding your gums, and not whitening so much you damage the enamel.

Hth!

Would you consider "pulling oil"?
