have just bought insanely flattering dress , should I wear to gig tommorow

Just picked up a flarey skirted black 50s style Hawaiian print dress in peacocks purely by accident , tried it on and have rarely worn anything so flattering. I really want to wear it tommorrow to the Rolling stones concert...will I look silly? Will wear gold flat sandals and take a denim jacket. Its so girly I'm worried will look stupid, have been looking for weeks for a religion/all saints smudgy rock chick style dress but none in my size or budget. I have a black ikat print tunic but that would need leggings and will be scorching tomorrow. What do you think?

If the dress is flattering then definitely go for it! Sounds gorgeous, actually. And you probably won't want to be wearing leggings in the heat, at a gig. Have fun :)

Dress is lovely, so yes definitely wear it. I'm sure people will be there dressed in all sorts. Enjoy the concert!

Nah, wear it - you'll have a better time if you're not overheating and know the dress suits you. Wear biker boots or converse with it if you want it to look a bit more rock - google image search girly grunge to see what I mean.

People will be wearing all sorts, surely. I've never dressed up as a particular music style to go to a gig.

Thanks all - have decided to rockabilly it with some lippy and liquid eyeliner, love the dress so much as it controls my bosoms - flatters my waist and comletely hides mysize 16 ish bum, tum and thighs - I think it makes me look a size smaller - besides - it is a dress made for dancing surely lol! 'll leave the all saints stuff to the skinny kate mossalikes!!

I love the dress. I wish you posted that last night I would have bought it for my holiday next week, but it's too late now. Never mind, I hope you have a brilliant time at the concert wearing the dress.

That dress is lovely. Very similar to one I got from there about 3 years ago that I still love-black with pink flowers. Enjoy the gig!

I'm heading off to Rolling Stones in a min & am wearing a dress that's very similar. I average 1 gig a month so like to think I know what I can get away with....the dress you've got is spot-on!

Have fun!

Just caught up with this string so am too late to warn you that the food and drink prices are predictably extortionate. Hope you're having an awesome time. [Grin] and Envy

I can imagine that looking great if its a perfect fit. Yes, wear it and look fab! Leave the denim jacket, though. Not nice with dresses. If the dress it so good, go back and get the other colour!
