13 is DH's lucky number so I don't mind.

These are the things I considered buying in the Matches sale before their website went kaput:

Marant jacket

They still have it in a size up from my normal size

McQueen flats

Still available in my size.

But now I have had many, many hours to think about them I am not sure anymore.

I should start a shoe therapy group - just think of the potential 'guest' speakers....

I like the J Crew bangle but I am like death to jewellery. I break it, lose it, tear it. Dreadful. Love to look at it and admire on others.

Whatever happened to DonaAna? Radio silence.....

Shop I read Dry's post, your cousin's good reputation has been reinstated. Grin.

Love the bangle shop. So much so that I went on the J Crew site to get one too if not too £££. Couldn't find it so think they've sold out. Too slow! Agree with wearing it with casual rather than dressy outfit. Think it will look great.

That Marant is lovely Linus. I can remember when those Indian style quilted jackets were in fashion in the 70-80's. We used to wear them reeking of patchouli and joss sticks after buying them from the local 'Head Shop'....

And they didn't cost £250+

I like them Linus as long as you don't feel the Marant is too bulky.

Mignonette I sent you a pm.

Choos and Kors have been dispatched. It's like Christmas, only I don't have to be polite to my mother in law!

Amber Grin

Maybe the Marant is too bulky and Mignonette you are right, it really is a lot of money for something that might not age well.

I am wearing my cobalt Asos pencil skirt today and a AV tee in marshmallow. The colour of the skirt is really lovely and the skirt itself soo comfortable.

Which one is the Asos cobalt pencil skirt?

I need one item to wear I think in the first week.

I know it's the wrong time for cords really, but gosh these J Crew cords are a bargain with another 30% off.

You'd be better off with at least 3 items Marsha (and even then you could be going commando) :)
Assume you mean 'new' item

shop I tried that tee on in real life but sadly the colour didn't suit me. I still have another AV tee in my basket but as it is a colour I already own Blush and it costs £12 to deliver to Switzerland I probably won't buy it. Unless I find something else to buy.

There was a lovely coral Marant bracelet but not sure if it's still in stock.

Marsha cobalt skirt

Love that Linus thanks. Cotton and looks like thick jersey. Cobalt is my favourite too. Ok have bookmarked as serious contender for pre-pay work clothes.

Linus - that skirt/T colour combination does sound very unusual and I like it.

Would love more suggestions for colour combining from you all. I like off beat and clashy alongside toning and matchy.

Here are some of my favourites.... Camel and Pale Blue; Olive/Ivy Green and Red; Orange and Fuschia; Purple and Ochre Yellow; Red, Baby Blue and White...

Marsha Thanks for PM. Like the cords and i have a soft spot for them....When I trained years ago I used to have a few pairs of cords. I'll always remember a placement with children who had learning disabilities. One little girl used to stroke my corduroy encased leg in delight and called me 'Lamby'. She had a soft PlaySkool blanket lamb as her 'comfie' and being visually severely impaired, she took great delight in textures. I've never forgotten her and she really opened my eyes to how clothing can have so much meaning, far more then just fashion, warmth, identity etc....

I have that skirt in cobalt, black and berry and now it seems they do it in grey as well.

Mignonette you've reminded me of all the fabulous colour combinations you gave me when I bought this coat. Do you remember? So glad I bought it by the way, it gets lots of wear.

Those colour combinations remind me of the Céline Cabas totes, see google images.

My Céline purse is grey 'souris' on the outside and a very neon yellow on the inside. I fell in love with it instantly.

Have just ordered Asos skirt in berry and grey. The grey to wear with pale pink old AV pale pink sweatshirt and Converse (hope I'm not too ancient to pull it off) and the Berry will also look off beat and good I hope with same sweat plus ancient grey marl sweat.

Also have navy/cream chiffon pussycat blouse that may go with either/both in mad top-half secretary,bottom-half 80's Desperately Seeking Susan manner!
