Used coffee grounds are an amazing body scrub but very messy.

TBH the best thing for those spot/bump things is flexitol or another high urea cream.

IKEA do a good (very cheap) one . If you have the IKEA Family card you get a % discount too. In my local IKEA they have bags, suitcases toilettries all grouped together.

For hard work grittiness St Ives.
For nicey pampering Sanctuary (Boots sell it and they often have 3 for 2)

Soap and glory do a heating up one that works brilliantly for me. More than a fiver I think but on 3 for 2 and with points would work out reasonably.

All of their exfoliators in the tube work well for me and I am an exfoliator junkie!!

The heating one is 'some like it hot' great for bikini line and armpits where I get loads of Ingrowing hairs.

Also scrub of your life good.

Sea salt and olive oil. Leaves skin so smooth and soft. V cheap too.

What about one of those massage sponges with a friction surface. You won't have loads of mess to clean up in the shower either.

I like the soap and glory one, just the normal one. Havent tried the one that heats up.

Is the st Ives one the same one as you use on the face?

I like a good hard working scrub

Must also check out soap and glory

Thanks ladies

Lots to try there

I love the 'lush' sea salt scrub one. It's about a tenner, but lasts ages.

It scrubs the fuck out of my skin...leaves it super soft and you can wash your hair in it too...gives it extra body!

Here //www.lush.co.uk/product/335/Rub-Rub-Rub---330g. It's 8 quid.

I use these

I use them in the shower all year round on my feet, and on my arms/legs as required. Just add a splodge of your favourite shower gel and away you go.

Are these salt scrubs more effective than a sponge with an exfoliating surface?

I like the sound of the Lush one.

Chablis, do you have a body brush? You could try dry skin brushing, it's a little odd at first and then addictive and if you keep it up it really improves the appearance.

Also if you like taking baths you could try some fine grade himalayan pink salt mixed with oil (and essential oils) as a scrub before keeping it on for the bath - a little more expensive but really lovely.

I'm all about the dry body brushing!

I agree with Mintyy takes about a minute, if that, to exfoliate your whole body.

I'm with Minty, those gloves are the best and you can buy them in Wilkos or Home Bargains for about 59p.

Chablis, you can try this for a general overview of dry skin brushing:

I have to admit that I only do arms and legs though when I find the time to do it
