I hate my boobs! Help!

I've always had big knockers but after breastfeeding DD for 7 months they are even bigger!

I stopped feeding her 3 months ago so they aren't likely to get any smaller now but everytime I look in the mirror I don't like what I see.

I'm size 8 and they are a 32F, I either can't fit into any nice tops/dresses or when I do manage to squeeze them in all you see is boob!

So the options are either- squeeze them in and look like a tart or buy a size that fits on the boobs but is then baggy and therefore frumpy looking everywhere else.

Can I shrink them somehow? I've tried dieting but the weight just comes off everywhere else.

Aww, a my boobs are too big thread. I am afraid I find it difficult to be sympathetic as, if I had them, I would be desperate to show them off. You can get tops and dresses made to measure. There are bound to be local dressmakers just ask around.

Are you sure you are a 32F? I am a 32G and a size 12-14.

P.s. look at all the recent bra intervention threads on here. You may find if you have a better fitting bra that your clothes for better.

Having big boobs can be a real pain, mentally and physically.

I get shocking back ache some days, sod the cleavage. I know hardly anyone is actually happy with their body shape but honestly, big knockers are no joke.

Speaking of which.....I've heard them all.

Brambly I went to Leia the other week and they measured me as a 32F, I was a bit hmmm about it but the bras I tried on seemed to fit well so I didn't argue and was desperate for something other than a nursing bra

Fallen if I could donate them too you I would. I'm not against showing them off but I feel like they make me look a bit cheap, especially at work as I am quite out of proportion.

I've given up on fitted clothes as I know they won't fit, so I wear materials with 'give' in the fabric.

I totally empathise I have 34G boobs post natally I bloody hate them, I've never understood people thinking it would be nice to cart that kind of weight around on your chest , a nightmare getting clothes to sit nice and neck and back pain.

Presumably you know about Bravissimo/pepperberry tops etc. Pesonally I dont like most of them as although the are fitted to your boobs, they emphasise them too much for me. Am happy to flash a bit of cleavage but anything underneath them gives me hideous shelf as not much space between boobs and waist.
East do some nice tops, lots of jersey, ruched in the middle of the bust area giving cleavage without clingingunderneath.
White stuff also have some nice tunic tops, enough fit at the top to give definition but not too much material to make yopu lok pregnant.
Little cardis over fitted tops help to diffuse the look too and you dont have to do them up so can buy the rght size so it looks in proportion (even though it wouldnt actually meet in the middle :) )

No way are you a 32. Youll be a 28 or 30 at a size 8, but with a bigger cup size.

Go to bravissimo or a specialist independent lingerie shop and get properly fitted. The right bra will certainly help

Youll still probably find it harder than most to find well fitting tops or dresses, but then all body shapes have things they can and cant wear

32E here and hate them. I tend to wear very plain fitted tops, with a jacket, denim shirt or cardigan worn open over the top.

I would get measured at Bravissimo too. I'm a 30GG and a size 12. You are probably wearing the wrong size. If you're in the right size bra you might find it makes a lot of difference to the way you look and feel.

I wear a lot of fitted t shirts and tops, not low cut because I don't want to draw attention to my breasts but also not too high up otherwise you get the mono-boob look.

Bravissimo is good for shirts, they are fitted for larger breasts so you don't get gaping between the buttons.

30GG size 12 here, DP loves them but is very sympathetic when I moan about the neck/back ache from carrying them round, the inability to buy clothes that fit without making me look huge all over, the expense of buying bikinis/bras, being perved on, inappropriate comments....

I could go on!

What I find most annoying is friends commenting on them, when if I said anything about their lack of cleavage, I would be (and have been) called rude.

If you measure under your boobs that should give you your band (don't add four) and then add a few cup sizes until you get the right fit. Once I realised I was 32G and not 38D (thank m&s not) my clothes looked so much better on me

OP, I sympathise. It's horrible. I get back and neck ache and can't help but slouch.
DS2 is 10 months and pre-pregnancy I was 32FF and size 8-10. Now I'm 34G and size 10 with a bit of weight to lose. I'm hoping if I lose weight and cut down on breastfeeding, that my chest size will be a bit smaller.

Fallen- that really doesn't help. If you get leered at, especially of you feel self-conscious enough, it makes you wish you had smaller boobs.

Measure yourself at home, I'm a size 8 but my under bust is 28.5. So a 28 size back.

I think if youre getting backache, i suggest a well fitted supportive sports bra and get down the gym and work on your core, back and shoulder muscles.

Also make sure the band of your bra is tight enough so that the band is giving support and not the shoulder straps.

I too have been amazed when friends have made comments. After 20+ years of loathing them, I finally had a reduction last year. Best thing I ever did.

30G and a very short sized 12/14. I can definitely second the importance of having a tight band that takes some of the weight rather than carrying it through the shoulder straps. I have a bit of a hump at the back of my neck from years of badly fitting bras (thanks M&S for putting me in a 36C for 15 years)

highly unlikely you would really need a 32 band bra if you're size 8.

Clothes will always be an issue with bigger than average boobs, but there are some options. I like stretchy ruched and cowl neck tops and dresses, more forgiving. Check this website does clothes for big boobs (and I prefer them to Pepperberry):

Oh feck, I just measured and my rib cage comes out as a 30!

I am so annoyed especially given that I bought 3 new bras as recommended by the woman a Leia. I even queried the size but she assured me she had fitted me correctly.

What an idiot I am!

My GP did say years ago that I would be eligible for a reduction on the NHS given that I am really out of proportion but advised me to have kids first. I doubt they do such ops on the NHS any more given the budgetary constraints.

You might not need it if you get the right size bra. Go on the bra intervention thread and ask what you should be trying on.

I haven't had backache since I got my new bras, and I'm virtually flat chested.

It's a big op but I have a relative who had it done and has no regrets. It's always worth asking, new financial year and all that.
