If you could only wear one nail varnish this summer what would it be?

Looking for inspiration. I want to buy decent varnish but not have loads of bottles hanging around with only a bit used then left to go manky!

I am wearing Essie not just a pretty face ATM on my toes, it's gorgeous. But I also love a darker pink/red one called swept off my feet - here. That would have to be my one and only for the summer.

Essie Tart Deco, got it in this months glossybox, gorgeous coral thats nearly neon but not quite.

Pootles I'm sure the Boots and the Superdrug Essies are exactly the same, though I haven't bought any in Superdrug (they're £7.99 in Boots too) - I just mean since they started stocking them on the high street the formula seems better. My older Essies have always been a bit streaky and have a thin rubbish brush.

Mini Essie is lovely nail polish brand, you can get them in Boots and Superdrug or on the internet smile They are famous for their pink and neutral colours, but they've got lots of other more exciting colours too.

Are the boots ones better then plath? I always get mine from superdrug, 7.99 I think.

Anything in coral.

Channel frenzy it's a really nice nude shade but its £18 so not cheap it does look nice on though and lasts ages.

Newer Essies have a much better formula than the old ones Wafer, esp the ones they stock in Boots, which also have a brilliant wide, flat brush. Its almost comparable to OPI's formula now IMO, though you do still get the odd streaky dud.

Surprised to see so many Essie nail polishes as they generally don't get very good reviews yet I love a lot of the colours In the bottles

Essie Bond With Whomever is my current favourite, a lilac type colour that goes well on fingers or toes.

PlumSykes Mon 22-Apr-13 18:33:24

Chanel Holiday.

ScooseIsLooseOnTheLoopyJuice Mon 22-Apr-13 18:15:17

Opi shorts story it's quite similar to that essie Madison ave-hue I love it

BarbieDahl Mon 22-Apr-13 17:48:46

I have a nice Essie nude shade called Brooch the subject

elsie07 Mon 22-Apr-13 17:44:54

Dior Bikini - the perfect muted coral.

Pootles2010 Mon 22-Apr-13 15:03:54

Ooh i like that Madison Ave Hue - I ended up getting Fiji but was really torn. V happy with Fiji though, will be wearing that a lot, as well as Perfect Housewife, also Essie.

Fluffy1234 Mon 22-Apr-13 14:59:02

Orange or turquoise gel.

HandsofaCrone Mon 22-Apr-13 14:55:50

I bought it in Boots this morning Ujjayi grin Now I'm going to have to resist taking off my current unchipped red to try it out!

Ujjayi Mon 22-Apr-13 14:42:58

HandsofaCrone - it is perfect. I got mine from the look fantastic website for £7.50 (free p&p). I saw an ad in last month's Vogue and fell instantly in love smile

Oh and the L'Oreal one I recommended is actually called Lush Tangerine. Again, not remotely neon - just a gorgeous warm sunshine-y orange.

Another vote for Dior Glow.

Fluffycloudland77 Mon 22-Apr-13 14:13:24

Super drugs doing Barry m gellys 3 for 2. I saw it earlier.

wetsand Mon 22-Apr-13 13:16:44

Another vote for Barry M's Gellys, the finish is so smooth and shiny and the colours are very summery!

HandsofaCrone Mon 22-Apr-13 09:08:32

oh oh I need Madison Ave Hue now Ujjayi - thanks! I've been looking for a mid pink that's not sickly looking but not neon either.

Ujjayi Mon 22-Apr-13 08:48:20

Essie Madison Ave Hue (i think...some pun on the famous NY street wink ). It's a mid-pink but vibrant. Perfect with or without a tan.

Also L'Oreal Tangerine.

HandsofaCrone Mon 22-Apr-13 08:42:26

Oh lots of these colours are tempting me now! I wish nudes didn't give me zombie hands.
