Tell me again about Uniqulo legging trousers, please?

I've been told they're flattering and easy to wear and the site certainly give loads of options for ways to wear them, but I can't get past the fact that they're elasticated trousers and therefore must be all kinds of wrong.

I love the idea of flattering trousers in loads of colours for less than £15, but....

Hm. I just ordered some and was a bit meh. That could be because the sizing seems huge, so I wasn't getting the leg-corset effect I was after though...

Order a size down is my conclusion.

Thanks Daffy. How do you feel about the ealasticated trouser thing? I was told the fit is more trousers than leggings and they're not supposed to be tight round your thigh?

I love and have about 5 pairs. I switched from normal leggings to these as I dislike the slighty see through nature of most leggings and always seem to end up with holes in them. Happens with every brand I've tried. Really comfortable but look much smarter than leggings

They are fab and really flattering (if we are talking about the jeggings style with faux pockets at the front and real pockets at the back, that is). They are like slim leg trousers with very little obvious gathering at the waist, there is some give, but they aren't naff middle-aged-crinkle-waist effect. I've worn them to work with either ankle boots or knee length boots and had lots of positive comments, people are shocked when I admit they were £15. They wash well, I just hang them on a skirt hangar overnight and they don't even need ironing. Perfect!

Ooh, I like the look of the checked ones. What size should I buy? I'm a quite tall size 12.

Online they have sold out of all the nice dark colours- unless I am looking at the wrong ones. They only seem to have pastels and floral left.

I've ordered the grey check, if they're the same ones. I'm thinking Una Stubbs in Summer Holiday...?
