I need to take better care of myself. I'm a bit inspired by the aforementioned threads and wondered if there's anyone else who needs a list and some discipline?!

I forget to do things, that's my problem. I always remember too late that I haven't put any make up on and then I have to leave without it because there's no time for application!

I'll lurk in the background.
I keep forgetting to put make up on.
Must do it more often.
and I've put over half a stone on, but we won't go there

I do oil my hair once a week though.

Hi Smile

Annianni what hair oil do you use? I was looking in boots yesterday, got overwhelmed and walked away!!

Onelittlelady I do put make up on but I'm crap at body moisturiser and exercise and drinking enough water. I think my make up would look better if it wasn't on a dehydrated hag!

I use Fushi coconut oil or argan oil.
I buy them from fushi's website or amazon.

I'm sure you're not a hag graceless, dehydrated maybe Grin. I'm ok with putting moisturiser and stuff on, I just forget the finishing touches in a morning. Maybe if I got up on time I'd get somewhere Wink

Aw cheers onelittlelady, I'm just having one of those days when I feel about 30000 years old.

Have been trying the oil cleansing method and so far it seems to be causing spots and flakiness. Sometimes in the same place. And my hair is mad and my legs are dry. So overall, not the best I could be. Have any of you read the princessing list of gloriousness? It has 20 commandments that if followed will bring about the best you that you can get, iyswim. No idea how to copy and paste it though.... Xx

I'm far, far too lazy for the OCM. I use Olay wipes to take everything off, use a blackhead clearing scrub a couple of times a week and just make sure I slap on plenty of moisturiser. I seem to be doing alright, no major breakouts, no oily patches and currently no dry patches either. Not sure if I should thank the Olay wipes or the Benefit moisturiser for that though.

Oh dear. That looks like a lot of effort.

Plus I'm a veggie so I can't eat fish, will nuts do?

I think it's for the Omega 3 , so not sure . ( Salmon / oily fish )

I was a lazy Princess , and only did the ones I liked < stamps foot in spoilt Princess fashion >

I don't teeth whiten ( don't like the false teeth look )

Eye lash serum , never heard of it !

Don't drink fizzy drinks anyway , and always have a glass of water on the go .

I think you just adapt the list to suit you , and don't make all the changes in one go !

Is it disgraceful to want to look amazing with no effort whatsoever? (ie staying up late, drinking too much wine and coffee and eating shite?!)

I'm going to start doing this in a couple of weeks when we get back from our Easter holiday and I have

  1. a weeks worth of cream teas to shift
  2. countdown to bridesmaid date

I had vowed to start it from New Year but I just haven't had the motivation but my dress has now arrived and I absolutly have to get in decent shape!

There are bits I will skip - I really dislike most fish so I can't see me doing that. I've no idea what vitamins I should be taking so I'll skip that too I think and I love a glass of fizzy drink in the evenings so I'm keeping that and just doing a very healthy diet and heavy fitness regime.

I'm going to give it a whirl. Try and do most of them every day, cos then I'll still be doing more for myself than I am now and who says you have to be perfect?!

Today have had my vitamins, used a face mask, done an hour of walking and a bit of a Tracy Anderson dvd. Smile

I can't leave the house with my make up. My routine is get washed, dressed and put make up on. If I'm in a rush I will make the kids have a quick and easy breakfast and hurry to school. It wouldn't occurrence time to not bother with the make up. Well, unless I had a handy balaclava.

pink sparkly princess balaclava obviously

Why do I never spot the mistake until after I've posted?

To my eternal shame I was the OP on the 100 days to Christmas Princessing challenge and I gave up myself!! I'm keeping an eye on this one but as I'm 20 weeks pregnant I'm not doing much besides sitting on the couch eating biscuits!

Ok I'm joking but that's all I FEEL like doing!

Report
gracelesslady · 21/03/2013 15:35

Congratulations helga!

I'm having a twirl and a cup of tea for my lunch and I don't have pregnancy as an excuse Grin

Oh Hallo Helga !
Congratulations !
I was on the 100 days til Christmas with you

I chose the rules I liked , and stuck to some of them .

Regular hair cuts
Regular hair removal and eyelash tint
Moisturise
Hand and foot cream
Drink more water and less wine

Try to
Remember to take vitamins
Eat fruit and veg

Ignore
Excercise ( hate it , I'm very lazy )
Hair oil ( no )
Teeth whitener , eyelash serum , exfoliate ( don't like being scratched ) dont drink fizzy drinks anyway , wine only at the weekends ( does start on Thursday , doesn't it ? )

The moisturising and hand cream use makes such a difference ! So quickly . I have pots of cheap hand cream everywhere now !

This has given me the incentive to try and get my act together again .

Thanks ladies.

I am doing bits and pieces. I'm taking pregnancy vitamins, moisturising with bio oil (which the dog loves and tries to lick off me!), drinking water, no alcohol (obv) and walking the dog an hour a day (2.5 miles usually) so not too bad I suppose.

I haven't done anything useful today: got make up on but have eaten crap and haven't moisturised or anything. Still time to redeem myself...
