Found you! Well done Novice. Love the MNV sweater. Brilliant! And how lovely to be on our 6th edition and with so much life and new chat on the thread!
Welcome to the newbies. Frugal I'm definitely up for any chat about being frugal and fashionable. After the success of my 'homemade' boyfriends I am going through my wardrobe and trying to find new twists on how to wear things. I might have to lay down a challenge and ask everyone to create an outfit from my Pins - it'd be interesting to see how people would style things.....Will hang onto the Matches code for now.
Amber I'm about to PM you
Sunshine today. I didn't sleep well last night so have heavy duty undereye concealer on today.
Meant to say I was given testers of the Lancome serums, Visionnaire and Genifique - super impressed at the change in my skin tone after just 4 days - if we weren't in our situation I'd definitely be buying.
Next stop for me is to go through all my make up, retry some old lipsticks I haven't worn in a while (perhaps mix some colours) - I like Frugal's tip about eyebrow shading!

Anni probably too late now but I'd go with the Whistles
jacket.
Love the Prada bag Decam (I think?)

Marsha what colour is Storm? I googled but couldn't see. Just trying to get a feel for how people are styling the sweater :)

foxy I would have loved to come but I've got plans for Friday morning I'm afraid. Half of cribbs seems to be closing down-Dorothy Perkins, wallis, monsoon, east, republic and miss selfridge and nothing has yet moved into eh smith. Not that I shop at half of those places but apart from john Lewis and gap there'll be nothing there so will start shopping in Bristol more (although I loathe that tiny gap).

Anyway it's lovely and sunny here and I've finally found some replacement sunnies from boots to replace last years broken ones. I might even take my vest off later when picking up from school Grin

Like many others on here I'm trying to look at different ways to wear things. frugal my dh would love your influence as he's always telling me I'm fiscally irresponsible Grin.

shop I think would be fun to go through each others pins and create outfits!

novice who hates charm bracelets? I adore mine (links not tiffanys) but that's because the charms all mean something to me and it' one if those things that just makes me happy.

amber get the silver and the blue bag. That'll really ind mil up!

Anyway there's a rather fragrant smell around here so I guess I should engage with dc3 and change her nappy instead of chatting to you lot! Rock n roll.

Would love to just put on stella navy chunky scarf when out but think won't be quite warm enough.

Gah. I really should proof read before posting. Apologies for all the typos.

Ooh Shop great minds... I was just experimenting with creating new lipstick shades. My jacket is warm-toned, lippy was cool-toned, didn't like the clash (yes, I'm a tragic person who likes matchy-matchy), put on some pale coral lippy (a mistake purchase I rarely use, too pale)= perfect neutral/warm shade. Will be repeating this.

I've tried Genifique but it's slightly too perfumed for me. Serum is a must-have for me (usually I don't need to moisturize if I use serum). Are you sure there is not a great product at Aldi waiting for you? I love Aldi and Lidl stuff... But frankly, before even contemplating something new I should use up what I already have.

I'm wearing a Tiffany-inspired chunky chain bracelet that my mother received some years ago as a free subscriber's gift. Did not wear it when it was brand new for fear of being found out (El Cheapo, moi? Wink ) but it's well-made, looks great, and unlike real silver, doesn't tarnish. Shh, don't tell anyone. (Coming up next, statement cocktail rings from Easter eggs Grin)

So DH has taken my Hudson boots for soling (that looks really wrong), and I'm now thinking of some heeled loafers and spotted these: TopShop loafers. Quite a good price I think (I'm reluctant to spend even this amount for something clearly so "on trend"). But also fancy some flat slipper shoes....

And I'm on a spending ban [bawl], so really I shouldn't even be considering. [sigh]

And thanks to Novice for the new thread (I was mightily confused for a mo).

Foxy + QueenC, Friday may work for me, but it'll be a bit mental: can come straight from school drop off at 9, CC at 9:45, but getting hair cut and coloured at 12, so would need to leave by 11:15 at latest. Plus should really go for a run, so actually, don't think I can fit it all in Sad. Following Friday got to take youngest to a speech therapy thingy in Bath, and then following Friday we're in Florida Grin, so looks like it'll have to be next time...

Aha have just remembered a 3/4 length See by Chloe navy and white thin striped short cardigan. Can wear on top of AV with navy scarf. Am determined to do the navy and orange thing!

Florida Carrie, wonderful! So nice in March. Loafers look good and worth a try.

I use Lancôme visionnaire, really like it. Very light and nice texture and fragrance.

booo was hoping for some browsing company! nevermind. if you decide not to run carrie I will get there around 9.30 and only stay till 11ish as i need to get H home and fed before he goes for a nap. that boy LOVES his sleep.

i am going to try some stuff on in whistles so i know what sizes to buy. still lusting after the cobalt tee and khaki breton and i think they will be ideal for S/S. annoyingly i can't get hold of grazia for love nor money, i wanted to buy instore to use JL account card but it's sold out EVERYWHERE. Sad

goldsigns are out for delivery, whoop! this is extra fab as DH not back till gone 8pm tonight so they will def arrive when he's not here. although he did admire the AV knit this morning and said the colour really suited me!

that yellow gap bag looks lovely, am def going to have a squiz on friday, but on the website it's £80 - am i missing something? under £50 i cn do, esp with 30%off, but £80 too much for me right now.

Carrie would love to help you to un-justify... Loafer is a classic shape (I had shoes like that circa 1997, block heeled and Prada inspired, wonder where the are now). But will they work with the rest of your outfit? They tend to add a preppy feel to everything worn with them. If you natural style is preppy (= you adore J Crew), purchase justified!
I'm skipping the flat slipper shoe trend. They look like a blogger hit/ one season wonder and I have big feet. But I'm more enthusiastic about the potentially up-coming furry slippers as outerwear trend Grin

Mineral makeup @recessionista: put on slightly clammy moisturizer. Finish with No. 7 translucent loose powder purchased and last used in late 1990s. A surprisingly airy feel, great coverage, plus a good take on the Hollywood matte look Grin

Marsha I kid you not, in one of my recent fashion mags there is a DIY on how to out-celine Celine. Involves charity shopped courts, hot glue, faux fur and sharp tools Grin

Anni, my DDs like playing with my stuff. I am not so keen when they drag my scarves and bags around! Happy anniversary for tomorrow. I'd go for the new Whistles jacket.

Hi FrugalFashionista. I certainly have room for improvement on the spending front though try not to use the credit card or at least pay it off before DH checks the bill.

I like the loafers, Carrie. I have similar from Bally from a good few years ago so agree they are classics.

Can't wait to get the jeans, Blondambition. I tried them on in Trilogy first, I felt a bit mean but it's so much cheaper in the US.

The Coach bag is half the price so more do-able. I agree, Novice, it reminds me of Miu Miu.

I have persuaded DH to buy me the blazer for Mother's day.

It is so nice not to have to wear gloves!

Frugal loving the sound of furry slipper trends Grin. I too used to have stacked loafers in [mumbles] 1994 (I had a very near miss toppling over in Birmingham while doing some work experience in Birmingham. Perhaps I should learn my lesson...).

Marsha I can't wait - building up my shopping list and shopping destinations Grin.

Foxy I just said I go to Florida in under 3 weeks. I need to run lol. Can you not still use your JL card online for Whistles [simpleton icon]?

Am feeling v jealous of the AV love!!

Hi everyone, just had a quick skip through the last few days to catch up..

Shop - I am sorry to hear about your DH too, stressful times. Fingers crossed something will come along soon.

Welcome frugal your outfit sounds great. Are you on pinterest? Would love to see your things Grin (though vintage bits may be hard to trace on internet to pin Sad)

I had a great result on ebay sales on the weekend, my Louboutins were on for £150 and I got £255 which I was thrilled about...most of that got spent on a new ebay Marant Monty jacket which I am very excited about getting. So disappointed to see the postman came with it while I was in the shower earlier Sad!

White Goldsigns due for delivery tomorrow, just in time for this lovely sunshine. Remembered a lovely yellow Loyd Maish bag that I got in the Matches sale about 4 years ago, now due an outing in the spirit of using and loving stuff we already have! It is pretty dirty well loved though, anyone know any good leather cleaning products I could spruce it up with?

Am wearing black jaquard zara trousers with black AV pima long sleeved T and orange Duffy sweater on top - not actually the MN sweater but an honorary version, it is the same shade as the AV one! Clashes nicely with the yellow bag!
