I have been invited out on Saturday night. I have 35 of next vouchers from Christmas.
I need an outfit. I'm single, and feel ropey and unattractive.
I'm a 12/14 massive tummy and hips. Small boobs, quite medium skinned, with auburny/medium reddy hair.
Most of my shoes are black, black cage wedges are my comfiest, I've a black maternity or grey blazer, I can disguse with a scarf.
I hate hate hate my legs, very scared.

Thank you

What kind of thing are you going to? Bar, club, restaurant?

It's a bar and a club.
I really don't know what my style is anymore but I wear alot of black. I don't mind short dresses as long as I can wear black tights

How do you feel about patterened trousers? I am imagining an outfit consisting of your cage wedges, patterened trousers, simple top, your blazer, sparkly oversized necklace. Am sure most of that is doable from Next.

Keep your blazer on in the bar, then take off in the club.

Can I just say if you are 12/14, you really aren't massive at all. I think if you are unhappy with part of your legs, make sure you buy the right size and go for a style that is not clingy, a tailored cut that is straight would be worth trying on.

I think I might feel silly if I'm honest, and as I'm tall 5ft 8 I might find it hard to get the right length. I'm willing to look though! Smile

I think you should wear a shorter dress with black tights if you're going to a club, definitely. And get yer arms out if you're wearing tights.

This might work with a pair of black heels, tights and a nice belt/accessories.

This could be flattering on the tummy area but would it look okay with your colouring? My colouring's similar and I'm not sure.

This has a peplum which can also be very flattering on the belly (problem area for me too). Peplum might make your hips look wider though? I personally think wide hips are quite nice, bit of junk in the trunk is very 'in' at the mo :)

This might also flatter your tum.

Can you go strapless? Because this might look amazing with your hair, tights, black heels, black clutch bag.

Or... even more clubby with sequins... too much with a peplum too?

I think I like the green one best

Good :) I think it would be quite flattering too, with the little gathered bit at the waist. I feel your pain, btw, stressing about clothes for a big night out (don't we all) - try to just enjoy it. By the time you've had a few drinks you won't be thinking about your clothes anyway!
