...for someone who's just had twins what would you go for?

In need of suggestions - looked at Molton Brown / Elemis but not inspired....

a dyptique candle - or three miniature ones. I know that's not strictly beauty, but it will make her head feel good.

I have heard Mamma Mio have some lovely treats. I have just been to a Temple Spa night and they had some fab moisturisers and pampering treats in that budget.

Anything from Neom, their bath oils, bath foam are gorgeous and their candles are amazing. Some John Lewis stores stock them, or I order from neom direct, it arrives quickly.

A Tom Ford lipstick. Big treat that you'd probably not buy for yourself if you'd just had twins but gosh it would make you feel good!

I'd give her a voucher for cosmetics (with a long expiry), on the basis that she's unlikely to have much time to relax and indulge now but in a few months she'll appreciate a guilt-free shopping trip and the chance to buy something that will make her feel less frumpy/ungroomed. I'm thinking No7 (if you've got a big Boots with a proper counter nearby), Clarins or Estee Lauder, depending on her usual budget - nothing more useless than an expensive blush when you can only afford very cheap foundation to go under it...

If you know her well enough, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. I've an 8wk old baby who still has her night and day reversed and 2 lively toddlers and people keep saying I'm looking really well. It is totally due to that stuff - v fast and unfussy to apply so it is often the only making up I get chance for. Without it I look grey.

Nothing for the bath as she may be opting for quick showers over baths! And nothing that you have to leave on for a long time and then wash out.

I would have loved mama mio stuff to rub into my stretchmarks, perfume, eye cream or facial moisturiser.

Yes to clarins beauty flash balm! It made me look like I had had enough sleep, even if I didn't feel like it!

Just thinking, a kind friend bought me a bath treat and it made me want to weep. I'd love time for a bath but instead I have a lot of lovely bath stuff taunting me...

I know people are saying no bath stuff but my friend bought me this for when you're 'overtired'. It was so nice and i'd leave DD with DH for 30 mins of blissful peace with this stuff in the bath.

Oh wow arcticroll, fantastic tip re the re website, just ordered a heap of the rosé stuff which I love.

Op, I would also suggest the Ren Moroccan Rose stuff as a wonderfully spoiling, indulgent treat. I agree no tobathstuff. Shower gel or body cream only (stuff thatabsorbes quickly). Fancy candle also a good idea.
