Toying over a pair of these on asos as they are a great price but hesitating as they seem to have been around a while now.
What do you think? Are they on their way out?

I have a pair from last year and I love them, I wear them a lot and get lots of compliments on them whenever I wear them

I love them, they're comfortable, go with lots of things in my wardrobe, so I'd wear them whether they were in or not if you see what I mean

I live in a backwater though, I don't think they've been 'in' here yet, for them to go out again Grin

I think they're marmite - you either love them or hate them ..
I'm in the latter camp but it's a personal opinion!!

If they price is right and you like them then go for it

I bought a pair last week and have worn them every day as they are so comfortable. They look good on and give me and extra 3 inches height, which I love.
Thumbs up here. I ordered the prune, but I do have my eye on the green pair at asos too!

Have the Thelma and the Bea. Personally I think the Thelmas will be in fashion for longer than the Beas (though again am in a backwater so will be able to wear them for another decade till word reaches the far SW), but the Beas are so, so much more comfy and easy to walk in. Can't manage more than a trot in the Thelmas but can properly run in the Beas - have a toddler so this has been well tested :)

I have the prune suede Ash bowie wedges and wear them lots. Comfortable and nice with skinnies

SanityClause · 08/02/2013 23:42

I really don't get them.

Anyway, they've been around for about 3 or 4 years now - they can't have much longer to run, surely?

Thanks all,
I've resisted the checkout button thus far and told myself if they're still there on Sunday I'll get 'em!
That way it's fate deciding not me Grin

Get them !! I got some in the sales too and they are so comfortable and look good on. My DDs finally think I look a bit cool and tell me to wear them

Same. Wore them to a School function and had loads of oohs from the girls there... Okay they are 10-11 but I'll take what I can!

Go Duchess! Do it, do it, do it!
[enabler]

What colour are you going for? I was torn between the tan and navy but went for the tan on the basis I've got more that goes with them I think.
Love the prune but I find burgundys and purples are difficult to wear somehow

Nice to meet a fellow enabler leather ... i swear i have friends who purposely don't shop with me anymore ... i'm always ' oooh yes, lovely, buy it ... ' Grin

Ooooh just get them both and tell him they were BOGOF!
Well, they practically are anyway, mine (from Amazon) are £95
I was trying (and failing) to get my DH's opinion on the colour options. After some time he glanced sideways at them on the screen and said "please order them if it means you stop talking to me about them" Grin

So tempted to get another pair now - is asos the cheapest place to buy atm ?

Report
joliejolie · 09/02/2013 17:04

I find the prune colour really easy to wear. Like black, it goes with so many colours and is just that bit of colour on your feet. I would recommend anyone get the Bowies because they are very comfy and, as PissStickMeg said, they will impress the tween dd, which rarely ever happens to me! Grin

Try Brand Boudoir cazza40 they are the cheapest and I think they price match!

Annianni · 09/02/2013 17:44

I've got 2 pairs, they're great.
I got mine from brandosa, paid £52 for taupe and £53 for prune (i think)

Annianni · 09/02/2013 17:47

Brandosa was free delivery and returns too, whereas brand boudoir charge both delivery and returns.

leather just lol'ed at your DH !! I'm not entirely sure mine will notice, however, if he likes something he's 'nice ..new ?' at which point my crap lying face kicks in and luckily he laughs 'new then !"

I am seriously tempted by some of these as well, off to browse and may end up joining your Ash club shortly :)

Really recommend Prune as a colour. They go with everything, they won't date as a shade < I suspect Bowie wedges may well do at some point! > and they look nice with a mini and black opaques.
