Please help me find a dress for a ball....

Charity "ball" that good friends are organising in a naice but trendy hotel.

I'm guessing you don't actually wear ballgowns to balls anymore? Hmm

So I'm 30, size 14, short. Good bits... Er.... Good cleavage I guess. Have long dark hair also.

Ideally sonething I could wear again (ha), that won't break the bank but makes me look fab. (Twice ha)

Any ideas would be most appreciated.. It's in less that 3 weeks so need to get shifting.

No need for a ball gown, nope. But if it's a ball (black tie) then it does need to be long.

this with a different belt?

House of Fraser, Cheltenham Cavendish house has all sorts of stuff in a room of the the side of ladies fashion.

Lot more variety than debenham's.

Ooooh like the mango one...

I guess I'm just worried about turning up vastly over dressed or majorly underdressed. Blush

Is this too... Er.. Much in a not enough kinda way next

Ideally want straps I think so I can wear decent bra for good cleavage rather than back fat and those side pokey bits. Hmm

My friend has got this and it looks way more expensive than it is.

I don't like the lipsy one. It's a bit teenage prom.

How about this?

What's your budget?

OMG tethers that dress is beautiful

Yes I know what you mean about it being prom-esque and very samey..

I would love something quite fitted, v neck with an interesting cowl back.. Black/red/navy?

Budget.. Well I guess if I spent a bit more I could always sell it on eBay afterwards as long as I don't cover in wine Grin

Love the style of Damsel dress although not sure on colour.. I tend to go for darker bolder colours.. Although it might be beautiful

I've used Sexy Her in the past for ball gowns. They don't break the bank and deliver very quickly. For the money the quality is surprisingly good too. I do find I usually have to size up though.

this
no cowl back but stunning old hollywood glamor
Both should go to the black versions of the dress, all being well Hmm

You could hire if you fancied it. I've hear good things about Wish Want Wear and bad things about Girl Meets Dress.

I've got this one. I am a size 10 with 34E boobs. I bought a 12, it sort of has a built in bra so I didn't need to wear one with it.

I, also, have another one from there that is boned which is fine until you need to sit down or breathe!

I LOVE the first Ghost dress notMarlene posted. That would be perfect (although it might be a bit annoying to dance in as it is so long).
