Does anybody dye their eyebrows?

I'm thinking of dying my eyebrows using this:

www.amazon.co.uk/Eylure-Dylash-Eyelash-Eyebrow-Mascara/dp/B004TRKZ5A/ref=sr_1_4?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1358554555&sr=1-4&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

I have medium blonde hair and similar eyebrows. I'm not sure whether I should go for the dark brown or the black dye though - does anyone with a similar colouring or experience of doing this have an opinion? A friend with light blonde highlights swears by the black but I'm worried it would be too harsh on me. Any advice appreciated!

Why the blinking heck would you want to dye your eyebrows?!
Sorry, am just a drunken browser, not looking to give serious advice (luckily), but still...

Oo, I do have naturally brown eyebrows- maybe this has negated the stylistic conundrum of colouring experience. Sorry etc

Definitely go for the dark brown, black is too harsh and better for lashes.

I pencil mine in with a crayon It's not good but it's as good as I will get.

I use the dark brown for brows and the black for lashes. My hair is light reddish-brown.

Have done mine with the dark brown, and I'm blonde. You can wipe it off after a short time and then reapply if its not dark enough. You can keep doing this until its as dark as you would want.

Ps it's really easy.

I have them done when I get them threaded. Black looks really harsh though so would go for the dark brown.

I use that one with a mascara brush. I keep facial wipes handy to wipe up smudges. I don't leave it on for very long and do it in layers to keep it from getting too dark. Eyelashes are easier.

"I have them done when I get them threaded." Me too. "Black looks really harsh though so would go for the dark brown." Agree! Smile

I do mine. Brown would be best for your colouring.

I'm the same colouring as you and definitely dark brown, it makes a huge difference and saves on wearing actual make up. I got that same pack from superdrug if you want to inspect black vs brown in person. One of that sort is supposed to do eyelashes too but I found it way too fiddly, has anyone got a good way?

I do my lashes at the same time. I put the dye on sparingly with a mascara type brush and leave it on for longer than the brows. I am very blonde and find it much better to dye my own lashes and eyebrows. I get the best colour if I build it up over a few attempts. I keep eye make up remover ready.

I get my eye brows threaded afterwards.

I have used that for years without a problem until recently when I have had an allergic reaction the last 2 times, swollen, red, itchy eyebrows. Not a good look, am now embracing my pale brows begrudgingly!

Thank you everyone for the advice - I will go for the dark brown then!

weightlessbaby - pale eyebrows make my eye area look quite undefined- they look better with pencil but it doesn't really work that well. Darker brows look a little more groomed.

MrsRogerSterling - that's a bit worrying - I will definitely do a patch test.

Make sure you apply Vaseline around the eyebrow area so that none of your skin stains from the tint. Use a damp cotton wool pad to remove. The eyebrows take very quickly so 5 mins maximum for the tint to be left on. They also fade quicker than eyelashes though. Do not go for black, brown or dark brown is best for eyebrows.

I did them with the dark brown! I did a patch test (fine) and left it on just over 2 minutes and it went perfectly. Thank you everyone for advising me!

Glad you like it. Sorry if I sounded derisive earlier- am just completely clueless when it comes to this sort of thing [ungroomed]!
