Anyone want to loose just a few pounds, lets support eachother?

I followed the loose half a stone for Xmas thread which I found really helpful. I lost 5.5lbs and put 2.5lbs back on over Xmas. I'm quite small boned and few pounds really makes the difference, but I need encouragement to get just a little more off (4/5lbs so I hit the overall over half stone mark would be good for me) and keep it off.

Is there anyone out there who wants to loose just a few pounds up to a stone, who'd like to join me on this thread? We could record our losses or failures once a week and give general support and advice if we have any.

Yes I'm in. Lost 2 and a half stone last year in donuts pregnancy weight, put on 5.5 pounds over Christmas, desperately want to get back on track.

I'm still with Slimming World so weekly weigh ins help.

I just started using My Fitness Pal last week and it is BRILLIANT. So easy to keep track of what you eat (which has always been my issue) I want to lose 2.5 stone but can I join you?

I lost 7 lbs using mfp in December and have lost a further 2 over Christmas by having diarrhoea and vomiting bug - nice eh? Have now adjusted my target to 8st 10 by easter, so have 6 lbs to lose

Yes, I have a target of losing 3 kgs by 14th Feb (for a wedding) and then a further 2 kgs by the end of March (and hoping that this does not mean I've gained a buttload at the wedding) (sorry, I don't understand pounds).

My method:

  • no bread/pasta/cakes etc.
  • no alcohol (also TTCing, so this helps)
  • no treats apart from a square of naice chocolate at night with DH
  • if at all possible, not eating after 9pm
  • as many fruits and vegetables as I want
  • as much water as I want

So far, I've lost .5 kgs

Can I join too please? Need to lose the last dregs of baby weight. 6 pounds would do me! I'm using my fitness pal too. It's fab compared to paying for weightwatchers online which is what I used to do :-)

Now you may think I'm desperate but could we be friends on mfp ??? My nickname is fabiennelaurence

I'm in. I was on the lose half a stone by Christmas thread. Did lose 3 pounds. Put it back on again.

I'm 9.7 stone, would like to lose 8lbs and get down to 8.13 - only because 8 stone something sounds better than 9 stone something!

Am sticking to 1200 calories a day, or 1400 if I exercise that day ( get really hungry when I exercise ).

I'm up for this.
I want to lose half a stone too, to get to my ideal weight. I'm 5'2 and small boned and half a stone is the difference between looking a little bit chubby and looking good, and I want to look good! My aim is half a stone in 6 weeks. Should be totally doable, theoretically, but as I'm not overweight anyway, it is difficult to shift these "extra" pounds.

My plan is:
Zumba twice or thrice a week.
Walking a lot.
Ab exercises everyday - it's really my abs I need to work on, after 2 DCs, 2 c-sections, I still look a bit pregnant and it makes me look bigger than I really am.
Eating more fruit and veg and cutting out almost all of the refined carbs, and having smaller portions of wholegrain carbs.

Can I join? I lost a stone with weightwatchers 18 months ago and I know most of it has gone back on but the sessions at work have stopped now. Tried using the online version but it doesn't motive me in the same way.

I haven't dared to weigh myself for months now. I will download mfp and try to get started.

I'd like to come back too if that's ok. I was on the pre-xmas thread and lost about 5Ibs but put them back on over Xmas. I've got 8.5Ibs to go to my ultimate target weight which I have been working towards since September. I've lost 16.5Ibs since then and just need to shift this last bit.

I'm being matron of honour at a wedding in June - my bridesmaid dress arrives in Feb and I need to slim down before that as we ordered it a size smaller than I am now - ekkkk!!!!

I've been using mfp too so will try and add the names above if I can.

I'm planning to limit calories and do plenty of exercise, I want to be nice and tonned as well as light on the scales Grin

choceyes I worked with a personal trainer last year and i can honestly say we did hardly any actual ab exercises but my tummy shrunk from doing circuit / cv type training using my own body weight. It's the best results I've ever had - don't get me wrong it was bloomin hard work but totally worth it!

OK, just downloaded the mfp app and discovered I tried this before but didn't do very well, I'm hoping support from everyone here can help me get there this time. My user name for mfp is BensonBunny (not good at thinking up names) agadoo and thefarmerhasawife I have sent you friend invites!

I've put on about a stone over Christmas (how?!!) and I'm pretty small in stature so it shows. I'd like to lose that stone, then I'll be back where I'm comfortable at.

I'm doing old-fashioned calorie counting, 1200 using mfp, plus exercising 2-3 times a week. Have lost a stone since 1 October, half of that in December alone when I started mfp. Am now below my pre pregnancy weight (had twins 14 months ago) but want to lose another 6lbs then I'll be happy

Have tried all sorts of diets in the past (Atkins, GI, meal replacements) but this seems to be the only way I can lose weight!

During the last 3 months of last year I lost about 10lbs and I'm almost the size and shape I want to be for the first time ever.

This is how I did it, and continue to do it:

I buy the Cambridge diet drinks, but don't use them in the conventional way. I use them as snacks ie rather than pop into Costa for coffee and cakes when out shopping I'll have a shake often in the changing rooms

The same if I'm out and about in the car - rather than stop at a garage and buy three bars of chocolate, I'll have a shake.

Mealwise I have porridge, at all times of the day, not just for breakfast, and a stirfry of loads of veg and a bit off chicken or fish.

If theres a cake etc around that I fancy, I have a little bite and give the dog the rest he's not complaining.

This way of eating works for me.
