Need a christmas dress that I can then use for work...

So we always go out for Christmas lunch to a lovely pub restaurant and I would like a new dress this year. Being a frugal sort I am happy to sparkle it up with accessories for christmas, but would be good if it then could be used for work - quite a smart setting.

I am 13 weeks pg and clothes are starting to feel tight so I'm thinking something that isn't too figure hugging - but is quite flary and will let me expand through Jan and Feb. Ideally it would have long or 3/4 length sleeves and can be worn with knee high boots (I have a black and a brown pair) as I can't really justify new shoes/boots.

Any S&B experts think they can meet this challenge? Thanks if anyone can help... Xmas Smile Thanks

I am afraid I can't do links but I have just bought a jersey dress from French connection that sounds perfect for your needs.
It is a lovely soft jersey with 3/4 length sleeves and a tie back. I shall be wearing to my Xmas do with a pair of high heels, then wearing in the day time with flat boots. They seem to do them every year in a variety of colours.
...I'm afraid I got 30% off in house of Fraser? But you never know might find another offer?

Thanks for those suggestions - the bow one is very pretty but too loud for my conservative office! And I never would have guessed the boden one is jersey and comfortable - but our office seems to have strange temperatures so I like having a sleeve (and even then I have to sometimes put a little cardigan over)

I've had a look at the French Connection site and I've found 2 dresses although the second one isn't in my size unfortunately, but I will probably order the first one and see how it looks
dress1 to order
no black in my size

Thanks all for help... I know I can rely on S&B mumsnet to keep me looking vaguely reasonable!!!

Oh no! Maybe just have both! Grin

I did find the dress in a shop in the end but it didn't look quite right and have just seen the link - its half price now! (So even more of a bargain if you buy it!)

I ended up with this - river island Looks really well on and the material has a nice weight to it so the drapes hang really well. Definitely has room for christmas lunch and then will be put into use for work as the bump grows.
