So I m up for a little Xmas weight loss! Basically, I know at Xmas I put on weight so want to be well below my 'buffer zone' to enable me to join the festivities. Also want to look good in my Christmas party wear!
Useless on my own, need support to keep me on track!
Anyone in.............

Yes ... I just started weight watchers yesterday.

I've been lurking on this board for a while. Had some lovely advice on clothes purchases last year, lost my confidence and just re-starting my style mission. I have a newish 'look', just need to be a bit lighter to pull it off with confidence.

Plan is weight watchers, back to gym next week, no booze. Hair appointment booked for 2 weeks for a mid diet boost!

Yes, I have already been trying for a week. So far have been having 40g high fibre cereal and skimmed milk for bfast, an open sandwich (low GI bread x 1, salad and lean meat 100g) for lunch and vege soup for dinner and havent lost a pound yet. Ive been running on the treadmill for 30 mins (will build this up).
So frustrating but I will get there.

I'm in, if you'll have me. Have managed to shift 3 stone, but now I'm officially a healthy weight, I'm finding it hard to stay motivated in order to shift the last 7lbs. Like you, I don't want to be dieting at Christmas, so want a buffer zone.

I have been spending money like water getting myself a few little treats, to compensate for the lack of cake. It seems to help, because I want to look nice in the new things I am buying.

Oooh, me please!! I've still got about 7-10lbs of baby weight to lose even though DS is now 20 months but just can't get motivated to lose the last little bit even though I'd be so much happier and have so many more clothes if I could get back into them. If I can lose some weight before Christmas at least then my Christmas binging won't put me to a worse size than I am already :)

I'm in. Weighed myself this morning and have put on 3lb so want to lose that and the extra 10 4 please!
Am going to do MFP and be very strict that I record everything and try not to eat my extra calories from exercise. Am going away for a night at the weekend - someone's hen - first night ever been away from DCs! So I'm sure lots of drinking and eating will be involved so need to be super strict this week. Please kick my arse if I start on the chocolate crunch I made yesterday.

I'd like to join in too if that's ok. I'm about to get my period, so I'm bloated at the moment anyway. I'd really like to get down as low as I can before Xmas though, as DP has a large family and I suspect we'll be given a lot of roast dinners!

Karma I'm nearly at the end of a big weight loss too and officially 'healthy' (middle of BMi healthy range) but definitely not skinny- could probably lose another 10 lbs+ but like you am finding the last few a killer. Partly because I'm less motivated as I'm pretty happy with the way I am but mainly because its so damn hard to shift the pounds at this stage IYKWIM.

My tip for the day: in wearing slightly too tight jeans and am going to prod my muffin top every time I open the fridge. Grin

Great!

I feel inspired already - I m living the idea of a mid diet haircut as a reward!

I have no need to look out tight jeans as am in them!
{prods muffin top}Blush

So I m weighed in and ready to go-

WW app up and running and MFP.

Alcohol could be my ruin so aiming to cut right back but as end of term it s not easy!

Ohhh please can I join in too. I've been dieting hard since the end of the summer holidays using my fitness pal and have managed to loose 20Ibs. Still got another 5 to go to get to my target weight but I really need to stay focused and motivated because I know I will easily stack on half a stone over xmas and would really like to start the New Year without having to diet!

My trouble is, well firstly after loosing 20Ibs I'm feeling much happier with my body so the motivation is low for the last few ibs and also we have lots of social functions / birthdays in December starting next weekend with my sisters 40th celebrations on Friday followed by my sons birthday on Saturday. I can feel it all spiraling out of control from then onwards so could really use this to keep me on track!

I reckon this is the hardest time especially when I m not huge just larger than I want to be for Xmas and so need a kick to stay in track.

I don't know if this will help or work but I've written in my diary either "be good" or "day off" for the days I'm going to allow my diet to slip. Not sure if it will work once I'm in full Xmas swing but I guess it's worth a shot!

I have just noticed that my new jeans have already split at the side ... looks like the diet is a bit late Sad

I will resist biscuits!

I'm in. I've lost 12 pounds in the last 2 months following the 5:2 diet so am thinking of going 4:3 in the run up to Christmas. Have another 2 stone to lose so would like not to undo all my weight loss.

Ok - so I weighed myself and the hard work now begins!
Lets weigh today and in a week to keep on course!
No use daily checks as I fluctuate like you wouldn't believe!!
Do we post weight or shall we just post losses??

Oh bugger. My first Xmas festive meal tomorrow. The hosts have paid for 3 courses. I think I will just eat half of whatever I have (and leave the "trimmings"..good job I dislike roast potatoes)

Count me in - although I don't seem to have put on much weight (and am supposedly around my ideal weight - though half a stone heavier than looks good on my frame), I have certainly put on inches recently, so all my clothes feel a bit too snug. My downfall is comfort food when I'm alone in the house. DH lost almost 5.5 stone since January by loosely following SW, so meals are healthy and we don't tend to do desserts so much any more but when I'm alone I eat complete crap :-( All the celebratory meals between now and Christmas are not going to help either - DH's 40th on Thurs, then a string of Christmas meals out etc, but if I can be good in between I may be able to limit the damage...

laptop ask them to not put what you don't want to eat on your plate - just meat and vgetables for me please - otherwise they will tempt you with their deliciousness. Then you have no choice. unless you beg from the person next to you and this would be embarrassing

Can I join too please, always that elusive half stone for me! Twolittlemonkeys I'm just like you, my meals are fine but I can't be trusted not to buy / eat a load of snack crap when I'm at work!!!

I'm in too, starting now! Have been conscious for a few weeks I've put on weight and my jeans are tighter, so want to loose a few pounds permanently not just for Xmas. I'm going to try and do it by cutting back on rubbish snacks and eating lower calorie main meals - so for the rest of the day it will be a kiwi fruit and a smaller portion of the pizza planned for tonight's tea but I'll have salad with mine instead of chips. Think a bit more exercise will help as well!
