Eye makeup look with an OTT frock

Rarer than hens teeth and rocking horse shit... I'm going on a night out tomorrow!

It's a VIP night in a nightclub won by my friend and I'm finally getting to wear my TopShop silver sequin dress.

It's a body con shift with holograph sequins so pretty ridiculous, so I'm thinking to avoid full on drag queen look I shouldn't do my usual dramatic smokey eye?

But what instead? Plain? Silvery?

Have you got a pic of dress? Also how are you doing hair that will make a big difference too?

How bout a neutral defined eye & really play up your lashes- line water line/lots of mascara/false lashes. Always looks v classy but not overdone

Hair will be down and fairly large at crown as like my profile picture.

I would do a toned down smokey eye, because if you have to wear falsies they could look odd with a very neutral eye.

I would also keep the lippy fairly neutral, and by that I don't mean beige.

I'm with iatemyskinny - lots of mascara, maybe an ivory shadow to the brow to brighten your eyes. Cakelined eyes rather than a big stripe of black liner...

Thanks ladies! I have a Naked and Naked 2 palette... Think they're worth a tutorial search?

What is 'cake lined'

Have a look at Lisa Eldridge's website. Some great videos. One called something like quick and chic might help.

I think you will still need a fairly strong eye make-up or your eyes might disappear under nightclub lights but avoid any eyeshadow that's too glittery or shiny.

How about this:
