Right there Karbea.
I'm off chocolate until Christmas (since last Sunday) .I did a Lent chocolate free and felt really good (though I did go back to my old ways with the Easter Eggs) Blush

I'm in the middle of having some dental work done (ouch)
Dyed my hair and eyebrows (they'll need doing before Christmas again)
Going to have my hair cut this week (but not 100% sure what to have done yet)

On the TO DO list:

Wax legs and armpits
Use one of those gradual built up tan/body lotions
Shift the muffin top

Looking for some nice jeans too (though I got some M&S denim 5 pocket jeggings that are nice but can only wear with long boots)

I felt really yuck after drinking last weekend, so I'm giving that up for now. I eat waaay too much chocolate and crisps (just had a twix :( ), my skin is rubbish and I'm sure it's down to the bad snacks, so I'll join you in the war against chocolate!

And my muffin top and chunky hips... Well it'll be nice if they've left before Santa arrives!

The trick is (IME) not to try to do too much at once.

I couldn't do "no sweets" that would be a step too far (DH bought me 2 bags of liquorice Grin )

I don't drink alcohol so don't need to worry about that.

Next aim: hair, teeth will be sorted within the next couple of weeks, then I'll have a month in December (almost)
What about 2 litres water a day (good for skin, kidneys and the old advice about filling you up)

Do you do any sports ? Swim? Walk a dog?

Need ideas to keep the momentum going (and shift the DC tin of Celebrations that they were scoffing while Merlin was on)

Yeah I agree I was thinking of adding in one new habit a day, should be a goddess in 5 weeks, haha!!!

Maybe I'll start with the water tomorrow.

I run a bit (sporadically) so going to do a bit more, would love to know what the perfect mix of exercise would be, run, swim, yoga etc how many times a week... Beem googling to try and find Cheryl Coles exercise routine haha!!!!

I would like to join you.

I am not good at contributing regularly to threads but will try.

I like the one new thing each day approach

I am going to start with no chocolate from tomorrow and then on Tuesday start on increasing the amount of water I drink.

I am going to write a list of things to work my way through to ensure that I primped and pampered ready for Christmas.

Good luck everyone. I hope we will still be here in a week!!

I haven't been running for about 6 weeks, because I am lazy and make excuses - it's raining/it's dark etc - but I lost nearly half a stone in about five weeks earlier in the year from doing a short run three times a week and cutting out crap food. I actually found that I didn't want the crap food after a week or so anyway - but now I'm back to my old bad ways, so this thread is hopefully going to inspire me to sort myself out a bit again.

Going to try to drink more water (gulping some down as I type!) and will try to remember to actually USE the lovely exfoliating face wash I have, instead of just ignoring it. Oh and I bought a hair dye today - again, I now just need to actually use the damn thing.

Oh and I have some nail strengthening stuff. That works too - if I ever actually remember to use it. Will do that before bed.

My i join too? I lost nearly 2 stone this year and have put about a stone back on from being lazy and greedy, i also fell off the running bandwagon (i did c25k).

Will def increase the water, and loosly follow slimming world.

Booked in to get hair done on wednesday, and after my bath last night i was eyeing up the Dove summer glow thinking i should give it another whirl to cheer me up.

May re-start running or do shred and will also pick up some new make-up tomorrow and make more effort.

I think that is enough for this week!

Me too. Currently go to gym 2-3 times but will try to up it to 4-5.

Have been eating far too much sugar lately, so will also try to cut out sweets, chocolate, muffins and mince pies.

Need to join! Beginning to feel a bit menopausal - weight creeping up, fab new job with lots of driving or working at home, no exercise and a husband with a cooking hobby.

I am thinking lots of water, cutting out crap and walking my cute new puppy to get my endorphins flowing.

I need to lose a couple of stone but 7 lb by Chimbo would be fab.

Yah cool! Lets keep each other motivated!

I've just gone and got myself a 500ml bottle of Water to drink, rather than a glass of red wine that dh is drinking.

5 weeks today I will be driving off for xmas at Center Parcs. After a pretty torrid 18 months, I have lost quite a bit of weight. I have been running to feel fitter.
I now want to sort my diet out and eat more heathily and heartily.
I need to sort nails out.
I need a hair cut and colour before I go.
I need to organise my wardrobe.

I'm in!
9 month post 2nd baby and I'm seriously trying to get to pre baby weight before Christmas. 2kg left to go but the scales won't move!

I exercise 4 times a week, twice with a personal trainer, a Zumba session and a machine Pilates session. Currently sat here aching from all the exercise but it feels kind of good!

Apparently to lose 1lb you have to burn 3500cals! Or not eat it...

I have cut back on all sweet stuff during the week but allows self to be bad at weekends.

I'm in Grin

I lost a load of weight after DD, plonked it back on again after a turbulent time, and was asked when my second was due a month or so back. I am not pregnant Blush

Last Monday I started cutting the crap and eating light, less carby meals with natural yoghurt if needing snacks. Been to the gym a couple of times and done an exercise DVD at home once. 6lbs down already!!

Can I join in please, I was planning on having a big push in November, so pigged out in October then it would make a bigger difference, only problem is I haven't been motivated enough to do anything so just got fatter basically.
I need to up the beauty routine too, so far I'm manging to moisturise my face once a day!
But given the limited time now it would be good what works well for others. I plan to stop drinking mid week, and get to the gym 3 days initially, hope to improve on that after a week or two.

tabatatraining.org/ I also intend on doing this on my own at least once a week. I do this with the trainer and its great. Can be adapted to any time you have

I'd love to join you. I always start the week with good intentions then fall apart by Wednesday night but that has to be better than not starting at all! I love the idea of beginning low and adding to it going along - I might be able to do that! So - this week -
I will exercise 3 times
I will drink 1.5l water per day
I will not drink until Friday earliest
I'll cleanse and moisturise every day
I will only eat sitting down, not if standing up!
Plan to be reviewed again next week

I'm so happy I have so many buddies joining me.
I reckon adding to it slowly is definitely the way to go.

Definitely the water drinking for me tomorrow.

Anyway tonight I've drank 50ml (hope this doesn't mean I'll be up and down to the loo all night :-S), flossed and done the yucky mouthwash I'm supposed to do every night and don't, done my face scrub thing I'm supposed to do every other night and don't and just done my nail oil... But just realised I haven't taken off my eye make up! Right back to the bathroom then bed!

See you all tomorrow, excited for progress updates, and more new joiners???

I will join you - I fly to Shanghai for xmas (get me!) with the in laws in 5 weeks, the last time I saw them I weighed a bit less as was doing shred every day and had slimmed for a wedding - I have piled it back on after that. All their friends are skinnie minnies and even at 5"3 I feel like Miranda next to all the Chinese so I need to lose a few pounds...

I am 10st 6 currently, have muffin top and wobbly tummy that I need to work on. I have cut out carbs in the evening and most bread, only drink at weekends a whole weeks worth and can be really good when at work as take lunch and have no tempting stuff there - been following the food doctor everyday diet which helps, don't really want the carbs or chocolate etc - but I just can't see to shift the weight - I swim on a weds and at the weekend with DD(2) and that is helping but I need to make myself get up earlier to exercise three times a week - 6am shred is really no fun though. So my plan is:

Pilates Monday
Shred Tuesday morning
Swim Wednesday
Shred Thursday
Friday drinking
Sat or Sunday swim with DD or Shred

And basically drink loads of water, sort my nails out with a couple of manicures, use my teeth whitening kit I got on Groupon and keep using the acid I got for my face (for spots and acne) once a week, moisturise and hopefully lose 7lbs - which is 5 weeks is totally doable...

The thing is if you have too many things it gets too much and I find I just give up on everything. I read that something becomes a habit after 8 times of doing it.

Good luck everyone, sorry for the essay - finishing off a bottle of red to get off to a good start on Monday!!

Nothing Sad
I'd rather go without,my eating is terrible. I have issues. I am so very fussy so as I'm cutting down on all the bad stuff I had to give up my chocolate biscuits for breakfast Blush however I'm having a healthy lunch and will snack on fruit. Personal training tonight.

Just been and tried on some jeans, dropped 2 inches in waist size over last few weeks. I'm holding off until the week before we return to uk for Christmas so hopefully i can drop one more size!

I'm a trained beauty therapist so will be happy to advise anyone on this thread if they want ideas to get Christmas perfect!

Ooo can I join in? I'm trying to lose 7kg or so by Christmas, I've lost 2.2kg in the last week but think I might need the encouragement of a group. I have a ridiculous amount of weight to lose in total, approx 19-20kg but would like to make a significant difference pre-Christmas.

I'm doing the following:
Dropping all junk food/chocolate/sweet treats
Drinking at least 3pts of water a day
Doing some significant exercise each day, running, swimming, gym class etc
Doing the Tracy Anderson mat workout/shred as often as possible - ideally 4-5 times a week
Walking the dog a least two times a day

Good luck everyone!

Breakfast wise I'm having either a poached on a slice a of unbuttered wholemeal toast or readybrek with mashed banana, I need fuel to get on with my day!
