I have tried it on and as I am fairly short, it is longer on me than in the picture, the colour is also a but darker irl.

I've been searching for a quilted but lightweight coat, not too puffy. What do you think?

I like it. I like the way it's quite fitted - lots of those sort of coats are too shapeless. Maybe a bit shiney for me but if it's not too shiney for you then go for it!

Not sure about the shinyness but if does have drawstrings inside to give it a defined waist. Thanks for the vote!

Not keen on the colour or shinyness of it - have you looked at Uniqlo?

If it's the style you like costco had a lovely non-shiney version with a fake fur hood in a range of colours. Very very nice and better quality look to it. Half the price too.

omletta - Grin

I quite like the colour but not the shinyness. It does look cosy though.

Too shiney! It's all 'wet look'.

Dexter73 I like the Uniqlo A-line down coat but it looks a bit too 'puffy' - what is their sizing generally like?

Thanks for the other comments and suggestions

I had a dark green Uniqlo coat like that.

DH told me I looked like a walking sleeping bag.

I lost the coat. So, if any of you have one hanging in your hall from when I came round 3 years ago.....

Too shiny - looks cheap.

I like the fitted style though.

Sizing for coats is fairly true to size.

Oh dear. No - it's hideous: really, really horrible.

Sorry but it is one of the nastiest looking things I have ever seen on the M&S site - and that is saying something.

Sorry not a fan - too shiney, odd colour, bit too 'bianca' for me too!

I feel I have to defend the coat a bit Grin

The colour irl is lovely
Its really lightweight but feels warm

However, it is very shiny but doesn't look cheap (imo)

Whatageatname, I have the uniqlo A line down coat and I love it! Looked around for a down coat fir ages but most looked too mumsy, hate ones that are 'fitted'. It's not too puffy and is a fab length, not too long. Def stands out from the sea of down coats on the school run. Looks better without the hood on. Mine is in black. I ordered a medium and I'm a size 10-12. I think the Small would br too small across the shoulders for me. It is toasty warm!
