Eyebrow threading - where to go (London)

Hi, I normally get my eyebrows threaded about every 4 weeks but have recently moved and not got around to doing this for a bit longer. Can anyone recommend me somewhere to go please - I live around highbury, canonbury area in north London, near newington green, so Id love to know somewhere good around there or alterntively anything in or near the more easterly part of the City. I'm around moorgate daily so anything around there or shoreditch etc. would love to find somewhere fairly cheap, nice, reliable, doesnt over do it and thread to tiny thin lines but doesn't try to enforce the really chunky dark dramatic look either! Thanks for any recommendations :)

it's a bit of a trek for you, but I get my brows threaded in Tooting for the princely sum of £2 - exactly the same end result as the £18 threading I used to pay for in Blink or one of the dept store concessions. Jump on the Northern line at Angel and stock up on spices and sweets while you're down there...

I haven't found anywhere in N London (although I did see a place on Holloway road - towards the Highbury end - recently) and generally trek to Selfridges.

After being 'mauled' by several awful threaders, the best place I have found is the Shavata Brow Studio in the Gielly Green salon. I know it's central, but they really are so good. For a bit extra, you could always book Shavata herself. I can recommend Binnita, wholeheartedly. She is lovely, not at all bossy or insulting like some can be and it really is worth the difference in price. Yes, I know it does cost more, but the difference in shape is worth it and I only go a few times a year.

Oh and they give you a loyalty card so that you get the 6th eyebrow shape free. So, technically it is only £14.17 per threading. I did some maths for you there!

£14.17 is pretty pricey considering I used to pay £6 in my old area, so they would want to be really good! Hipper, tooting really is a bit out of my way but if it is really is good for £2 I would consider it unless someone knows anywhere good cheap and more northerly! What is the name of the pla e you go? I am a bit reluctant to go to a random place with no recommendations as a couple of rogue threaders have done a bad job with my eyebrows in the past which was obviously a bit annoying.

Go to Tooting. I've just paid £2 in "Shilpa's" salon (in the middle), or try Dimple's Beauty(closer to Tooting Bec). Both are really good.

I go to Shilpa's too - they always do a nice neat job, they're v friendly, and it never hurts. Most of the salons along Tooting High Road are about the same price, as being close together makes them competitive; I might give Dimple's a go, as it's a bit closer to me.

If you can get a good look at the eyebrows of the therapists before you start, it's a fairly safe indication of how yours are likely to turn out. I've done a polite swerve or two in the past...

There's a brilliant place in the Plaza on Oxford Street - upstairs next to Waterstones. It's a fiver for eyebrows, and you can go to the enormous new Primark afterwards...

I used to live in Tooting. I miss Dimple's.

I hate threading, far too painful. If you wanted to try waxing I used to go to Benefit brow bar in Spitalfields Market, haven't been there for 5 years so not sure if still there.

I go to place on Merton High Street in South Wimbledon. It's called Sahana and they charge £3. I'm always happy with the end result!

Used to go to a beauty place in Liverpool St Station (the old arcade bit) called Beauty Box. They always got my brows looking great, both tinting and threading. Not pricey.

Another vote for Tooting. Get off at tooting bec and head to dimples.

I go to Superdrug who have insore threading bars now - £3 in West Kensington, £10 on Ken High Street so do shop around. There is a Brazilian woman close to work who does them pretty cheap too (W4).

They also do then in nail bars etc near me very cheap too but I won't take DD (usually sleeping in her buggy) in there as they are very fumy!

I need mine done too - I'm over slug-face :)
