Can you help? I mean a real, posh, gorgeous not just from Dotty P's and the High Street dress. But not quite real designer either, I can't go quite that mad!

But she's a real good friend, having a very posh do indeed in Sept.

Any ideas of where I can try, preferably something I can look at on the net!

I second Coast. Looked at their stuff for my wedding before I decided to go the 'whole hog' with a real wedding frock! John Lewis is also good as they obviously carry a big range of designers.

ooh thanks, knew I could rely on you lot! Countess, I'm a size 14 (am very short so this makes me Curvy if you want to be diplomatic....)I don't know what style I want, I am useless! I would like red or a brightish colour rather than navy or brown or black, want to stand out a bit (she said coyly...)
Will deffo look up coast (I'm going now, may be some time...)
And Mazzystar, what have you done!!! I may well get ADDICTED to this site...
keep them coming girls!!!

Lucia (weirdy lady in T2 of Times) is always recommending coat and dress combo for weddings. Liked the Boden coat - lots of use out of that one. Hat would be good too - adds to allure. September weddings are fab with post-Summer glow rather than washed-out winter look.

LK Bennett?

I was warned about coast and the possiblity of someone else wearing the same thing
Recent wedding I attended - 2 people in coast, one in a dress I had tried on but didn't fit me
May be best to mix and match iykwim
