I'll have to see if I can upload a picture from my iphone.

It's really, really fine. Just a line sort of connecting up my eyelashes IYSWIM. Top and bottom. They put loads of local anasthetic on and it was uncomfortable but not agony.

I had it done on Satrday and SUnday was the sorest (sp?) day.

Bumper - because I've been wearing eyeliner everyday for fifteen years and without that (and blusher) I look like a boiled potato

i like 'boiled potato', now you say it i realise that's exactly what i look like without eyeliner too.

i now have an image of a woman with love on one eye and hate on the other

Fair enough, can't wait to see a picture. I'm not really an eyeliner wearer myself as I have small deep set eyes so it often makes my eyes look smaller.

The thought of having it tattooed on makes me want to vomit! Is it permanent?

Report
MrsMeow · 29/03/2011 19:25

I'd love to see a pic! I've been toying with the idea on & off, but I'm too chicken - despite having 'normal' tattoos!

How much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?

Report
lololizzy · 29/03/2011 19:32

lucky you i am really envious as it didnt work for me. I had it done over ten years ago. It did not take as apparently i have very thin skin ( i was only in my late 20s!) they re did it for free and it still did not take. All that discomfort for nothing. It cost hundreds and honestly could not see a trace. gutting!

lololizzy · 29/03/2011 19:33

the beautician kept telling me off for having watery eyes like an old women and making it hard for her! not my fault my eyes streamed the whole time! i didnt get a refund

lololizzy · 29/03/2011 19:34

i had no local anaesthetic on it and my eyes went bright red and swelled for days. when it died down, no pigment at all visible! but i just have weird skin

verysomething · 29/03/2011 22:01

Where did you get it done? Recommendations plz.... oh, and how much Grin?

Report
Havingkittens · 29/03/2011 22:12

I can recommend a colleague of mine - www.permanentmakeupbydunja.com

She's a really good make up artist as well as a make up tattooer which in my books is essential! I've seen some really bad jobs by people who have trained in the technique but don't actually know how to do nice eyeliner which is a bit shit if it's permanent!

Looks good. Think I'd be too scared though. What of you get bored if it?

Report
TrillianAstra · 30/03/2011 09:09

"What if you get bored of it" is exactly why I don't have any tattoos.

If you are a tattoo-having person then prsumably you have superhuman faith in your ability to choose something that you will still want in 30 years.

It lasts 2 - 5 years, fading gradually. Depends on your skin type

How much did it cost?

Where'd you have it done?

I'd be nervous in case it was too thick or I didn't like it!! Can't remove it, can you?

Report
catinboots · 30/03/2011 11:52

Uncomfortable not agnony, but quite sore the following day.

I had it done at a training academy in Chiswick. It's normally £400-500 but I only paid £100. And I get a free touch up by the director in a months time
