I had a wonderful day with OH and DSS!

We were meant to go to the air show however traffic put a stop to that so ended up at OH parents and had a fab day!

We're going tomorrow, luckily for us we can walk down, you'll need to get there early, it always rammed.

It was completely wall to wall from Southampton, didn't get past Lyndhurst.

We're planning to go by train tomorrow to the air show - a days adventure with DH and DD.
I still get a twinge of sadness when we plan things that I know the DSC would enjoy; I just don't understand how having the opportunity to spend time with two loving families can be anything but positive for a child.

If it's Lyndhurst it will have been the A35 but all the roads will be awful tomorrow including the A31, either get here really or don't bother, the parking in Bournemouth will be non existent.

Did you get to the show, Gertie? We've had a whole day out and had an amazing time there - I had no idea it was such a HUGE event!

Very sunburnt now though - what beautiful weather!

(Sorry, OP, slight hijack - but it's definitely worth going next year if you can bypass the traffic - and the trains were excellent!)
