how long before you met DP parents/DSC grandparents?

following on from the question how long before you met DSC how long was it before you met DP parents? and how were you introduced? did you have any hurdles to cross? have to prove yourself? and do you have a good relationship with them?
I was lucky the hated ExW left such a trail of destruction in her wake I was welcomed with open arms in the hope I would provide some stability with both DP and DSD

DP didn't tell anyone in his family that I even existed for 9 months!! I met his parents after we'd been together just over 2 years, and had moved in together - but then they live in the opposite hemisphere to us!!
