Sony Pictures UK are offering 330 Mumsnetters and their families' a chance to attend an exclusive pre-release screening of the much anticipated movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2!

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s mouth-watering comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most infamous invention -- a machine that turned water into food causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint soon learns that his invention survived and is now creating food-animals – "foodimals!" Flint and his friends embark on a dangerously delicious mission to battle hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders and other foodimals to save the world – again!"

Visit the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 pages on Mumsnet to see the trailer (At Cinemas October 25, Previews 18,19 & 20).

There are two screenings taking place on Sunday 13th October at the following locations and times:

  • London Westfield Shepherd's Bush Vue cinema at 10am for fun, film starts at 10.45am.
  • Manchester Trafford Centre Odeon at 10am for fun, film starts 10.45am.

The screening will include a variety of fun-filled kids activities such as face painting, a balloon artist and a Cloudy Fun Photobooth (as well as some refreshments for the adults!). Your DCs will also be given a mini-poster and activity sheet before you are shown to your seats, provided with a bottle of water and popcorn each and left to sit back and enjoy the film!

We'd then like you to come back to a thread on Mumsnet and tell us what you and your family thought of the film. We'd also love it if you could take a few pictures of your DCs enjoying their day out and upload them to the feedback thread. Pictures may be used on the Cloudy pages on MN and possibly elsewhere, so please only upload pictures if you're happy for Sony Pictures UK to use them. Photos from the Fun Photobooth at the screenings may well be used here: facebook.com/CloudyFilm

If you'd like to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 before anyone else, please sign up here

Please note, the film is rated U and therefore suitable for any age, however due to the length of the film time (95min) it's not advisable for children under 2 years to attend. You will need to make your own way to the screening and parking is available at both locations.

If you're selected to attend you will be emailed by Tuesday 1st October. We'll need everyone to RSVP by Friday 4th October so please make sure you check your emails during this time.

Please note: max 4 tickets per Mumsnetter.

Everyone who is selected to attend and adds a review onto the feedback thread will be in with a chance of winning one of three Sony DSC-TF1 cameras worth £159!

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Fabulous.. the trailer makes it look great. The children would be so over the moon. The older one loves doing the whole 'critic'-thing - I even get graded Masterchef style on my cooking so this would be the full experience.. ha

We have odeon and vue cinemas in Scotland too you know. I believe the last film preview (despicable me2 I think) was London/Manchester and possibly b'ham maybe? Why do these things not get rotated to other areas?Hmm
