You may have seen we have been working with the English Football Association over the last few months to help promote their FA Tesco Skills holiday sessions for children aged 5-11.

You can find out more here

The FA have now arranged three special FREE Mumsnet football coaching sessions at the following locations during May half term

Bristol Tuesday 28 May 10am-12.30pm
Burton upon Trent, Staffs Tuesday 28 May 1.30-4pm
York Wednesday 29 May 1-3pm

We'd love loads of you to go along with your children (max 2 per adult) and try the sessions, learn about what's available in your area and then to:

a) Share your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet
b) Help spread the word about the FA Tesco Skills programme in your local area - this could be by telling a friend about it, posting about it on your Facebook page, encouraging your school to sign up or tweeting about it etc

The FA Tesco Skills programme is held at venues across England - you can find one near you here. All holiday sessions are free, and coaching at weekly Skills Centres only costs £1 or £2 to cover venue hire.

In addition FA Tesco Skills coaches are qualified to work in schools, delivering PE lessons supporting the teacher. These sessions are free to schools and are delivered in line with what the children are already studying in their PE lessons. They currently work with over 1200 schools a year, free of charge for between six and 12 weeks. If you think your school would be interested in this please do click here and pass it on!

The three special Mumsnet sessions above will all feature high quality child-centred coaching with lots of games and fun.

Parking is provided and full details of each venue will be sent to each selected MNer.
On the day your child will need to wear comfortable sports kit and bring a snack and refreshment.
Babes in arms are welcome to come and watch with you.
The sessions are open to all children regardless of ability.

If you'd like to attend please add your details by clicking here and completing this form and we will be in touch with those selected.

As an added incentive everyone who attends one of the three sessions above, adds their feedback and lets us know how they have spread the word will be entered into a prize draw where entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win £150 to spend on England kit in the FA shop.

Thanks and we hope the children (and you) have lots of fun!

I really hope this is on again next year as DD is 4 and football mad. She loves her football skills lessons and B-O-T is just down the road.

Ooh, I've put down for two of mine. They'd love this, and the coaching approach sounds refreshingly different!

AnneMumsnet - when do we hear if they have a place so I can book the date in the diary???
