Ahead of International Women’s Day on 8th March, Sport Relief have asked us to find out from Mumsnetters, if you had to spend a day in the life of another woman, who would it be?

Here’s what Sports Relief have to say, “Sport Relief is celebrating the projects that improve the lives of women, their families and entire communities in the UK and abroad. Whether it comes to helping women get jobs and start their own businesses, improving education for girls, or supporting those facing domestic abuse, Sport Relief projects help thousands of women each year. Just a small amount of money is all that’s needed to make a big difference to the lives of women worldwide and to create lasting change.”

So, if you could live the life of a different woman for a day, who would you choose and why? Maybe someone who you find particularly inspiring? Or perhaps someone with that daredevil lifestyle you always dreamed of having as a child? Dead or alive, real or fiction, it doesn’t matter, whoever it is, we’d love to hear about it!

Thanks,
MNHQ

Susie Wolff or Simona de Silvestro so I could have a go in an F1 car.

Or Boudica so I could kick the shit out of some Romans.

I'd like to be Sophie Wells (GB paradressage) as I dream of riding that well.
Ds told me at the Paralympics that 'look mummy, that lady rides just like you do' - which is true in the context of being on a horse and one correctly functioning hand Grin

Sheryl Sandberg - I'm intrigued to see how she manages to balance her position of power with family life. I would guess she can balance it because of her position of power.

Amy Johnson. It would have been amazing and frightening in equal measure to have been an aviator in those times.

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson too. Amazing pioneer for women in medicine.

a day in the life of someone whose husband does housework, child care and does not have to be told how to do it. i wold love to know what it would be like to be in a partnership where the other one takes responsibility for stuff and one does not have to check whether things have ben done or be asked where something is kept.

A bit cliche, but Beyonce! Her life is similar in that she has a husband, child and job, but yet still so far removed from my daily life. I would like to see how she achieves so much in her day and see the small 'normal' things see does :)

I would like to be Katie Price for the day. I know a lot of people would do anything not to be but i really admire how she manages to fit so much into her days especially with 3 children and a baby! I think she is an amazing business women as we should start to appreciate her rather than slating her as i feel she works for her money a lot harder than most celebs :)

Kathy Sierra for me.

She's a psychologist and one of the most influential technical authors in the world.

I would like to live a day in the life of Elizabeth Barrett Browning because I would have loved to live at the time she was alive and I would love to have written poems that were popular both in the UK and the US. Her command of the English language is beautiful and I would love to write something as special one day.

Or just any other successful writer ever. I think what J K Rowling has created with the Harry Potter series is absolutely amazing and I dream of writing something as remarkable one day. I would have liked to have been around at the time when women couldn't even use their own names and identities against their own work. I now have 3 poems out in the world and the thought of not being able to put my own name on them is really disheartening. I would have wanted to be around then to change the way the world saw female writers.

At the moment it would be Lynne Cox, the long distance open water swimmer, so I could swim with a whale in the sea.

But I can think of so many amazing women that I can and will change my mind every day for a month....

Hilary Mantel. I would be her for a day, so that I can experience being the origin of all that wit, intelligence and extraordinary writing.

But I don't think she would go for the deal, unless she could have my healthy body and pain-free life. Maybe that's the price I should pay for it.

I would love to spend the day with an Olympian athlete, just to see the amount of dedication and hard work involved.

QE1 in the fullness of her powers. I'd go hunting with my falcons and tell the ambassadors to sod off, I'm not marrying him.

Suzannah Lipscombe - she is my current inspiration.

Jovanka Broz - Tito's wife, just because I think she had so many stories sadly untold.

Margaret Atwood or Alex Polizzi. Atwood as a feminist dystopian author second to none, my favourite writer, such an intelligent woman. Polizzi because she seems interesting, confident, knowledgeable and is letting her hair go grey naturally (or was on the last prog I saw her on) which I massively admire her for
