Our SN area is not a substitute for expert advice. While many Mumsnetters have a specialist knowledge of special needs, if they post here they are posting as members, not experts. There are, however, lots of organisations that can help - some suggestions are listed here. If you've come across an organisation that you've found helpful, please tell us. Done - thanks for highlighting this but it would get more notice if it were posted in sn children, lots more passing traffic.

Hello all

Contact a Family has asked us if we could give a bit of a push to some research that they've got underway, called Counting the Costs 2012. The survey will give a snapshot of the current financial situation for families with disabled children, and builds on those which CAF carried out in 2008 and 2010 - so it's a real chance to show whether things have improved or worsened for families over the last four years.

The survey is here - it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, and the deadline is 11th March. Thanks very much if you can help out!
