Advice about winter clothes and how to get dd into them!

Sorry, I wasn't sure how to word this title so it's a bit clumsy. DD is 19 months and has CP affecting her right side. Her right arm is very stiff and her arm does not extend easily - I am really struggling to get her into a winter coat as she can't push her arm through a sleeve. Also all coats seem to have really tight little cuffs so it's nearly impossible. I have to confess that I've been avoiding the issue and have been putting her into a little fleece hoody but today I noticed she was really quite cold .

Any advice? Also do you think she'll get even more cold as she's not moving around? I might have to get the cozy toes out too. I'm really reluctant to put her in mittens as about the only thing that really 'works' is her left arm and she likes to fiddle with a toy or something in the pushchair.

Sorry, I'm rambling a bit now.

what about a poncho? It would at least be an extra layer over her indoor clothes... There are also fleece trousers on the same site for warmth on her legs.

Would a padded gilet be easier to get her into, worn over the fleece hoody? It is a surprisingly warm combination, as I discovered when I had a broken arm in the depths of winter and couldn't get a coat on.

I have dd witha cosytoes designed for wheelchairs, mittens, hat and poncho. Plus fleece under all that. And if its windy, over the top I put her rain thingy that fits over her and the wheelchair like a big poncho. Keeps the cold wind out.
Rackettys do a coat that goes on from the front after your child is already strapped in and it doesn't have silly sleeves. My dd is quadraplegic and has stiff arms so we can slot that over the top very easily.
She will get more cold as she's not moving (I use a wheelchair myself and need a blanket on my legs)
Maybe mitten on one hand and glove on the working one?

Thank you so much for the ideas - I'm going to look into them all tonight. I'm sure I've seen ponchos that go over the head then kind of popper into proper sleeves. I shall investigate further!
