Some of you may know we're trying to teach ds1 to type. I think he's highly unlikely to ever talk, but I think he may type. He knows loads of first letters of words (we put out a card say 'what's this?' and he 'answers' on a letterboard. He occasionally comes out with a complete word absolutely correct (then never does it again we're then back to 1 or 2 letters).
The Marion Blank programme has been recommended to me, but I don't know much/anything about it. She does specifically talk about it being successful with non-verbal older autistic kids.
