SN children

A reusable nappy question.

DS4 is showing samll signs of being aware of what's going on when he poos. I have got the potty out and he's sat on it a few times but not performed yet. I am hoping for success but it's got me thinking.

He has outgrown my endless supply of reusables and I have been using the Nature nappies. I'd like to buy some reuasble pull ups so my first question is can anyone recommend a good brand? (Is it flame who has the nappy business?)

He receives DLA and I believe he becomes eligible for free nappies when he is 3 (not until next June but I like to think ahead). Will the local authority supply reusables or only disposables?

www.minkinappies.co.uk

she will make you some specially if you email her with your requirements

or these were the only off-the-shelf ones I found for my dd (who was 4 at the time) that would actually hold a wee

they come up quite small so buy the biggest size you think he might need

I had some mother of eden ones from here to try and think they are good as long as you aren't expecting them to reliably contain poo.....
these

so ended up with some xl fuzzi bunz as I needed something bombproof on all counts. The lady there was very helpfol though and had a good range of large nappies.
I didn't get on wiyh the minki I had, it loooked lovelt but was v bulky & I'm not used to seeing fleece on the outside!

ds is now 5 and uses nappy service nappies which in our area are disposables...handy for school, though the continence nurse said they provide washable trainer pants and she was interested in the info abouot large washables I had. I have a feeling fledgelings do some washable 'trainer' pants too but for now we need nappies.

We're also on XL Fuzzis at the moment. DD1 is 3 1/2. I believe they make (or at least used to make, their site no longer talks about it) an XXL version as well. I can't be doing with fleece on the outside either!

Thanks everyone - yes pooh containment is a priority although he is getting more predictable so I might get him on the potty yet. He's only 2.4 so I'm not worried, even if he was NT I wouldn't be panicking about potty training yet. It's just that it's sinking in that he'll probably be in nappies for quite awhile yet.

They do, we have an xxl fuzzi and it's huge, the xl seems to have fitted for ages
