I've heard that for some reason many kids with ASD are a bit obessed with Thomas so thought some might be interested to know about this new stage show:

?Thomas & Friends? Live! On Stage? opens in March 2008 in Londonderry and then tours across the country, stopping in 20 British cities in a world class production. Thomas & Friends? Live! On Stage includes new railway-themed songs, as well as much loved classic sing-a-longs such as ?Roll Call? and ?Good Morning? and tells the story of Thomas and his engine friends as they work together as ?Really Useful Engines? to get the railway ready for Sodor?s Magic Lantern Festival. Take the journey with Thomas, Percy, Diesel ? and many more! ? as they share a story about discovery, friendship and cooperation.

Tickets for most of the Thomas Live shows are available from £10.00 (restrictions apply) at www.ticketmaster.com and by calling the dedicated 24 hour Ticketmaster hotline on 0844 844 0009 or check box office for details.

The mind boggles as to how they'll do it on stage! Have noted the Bristol dates though. Do you think the production company will think ASD when they're deciding on sound levels? . Have never been able to take DS2 to any commercial theatre productions because they're always so bloody loud! And the days of him sitting quietly through lovely calm fringe productions (one of which involved a woman dressed in a sheet throwing handfuls of sand around the stage) are, I fear, gone for ever....
