Don't know if this still exists, but I knew I had seen something somewhere!

Write Away - a pen friends organisation specifically for children with Special Needs. Siblings can also join for a one off membership fee of £2 per person. www.write-away.org

jessy have you contactes the parent carers council?
www.parentcarercouncil.co.uk/ they hold support groups for parents and i know there is one in coalville. they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Another thought - what about trying Special Kids in the UK? I just got their latest newsletter and, although it doesn't have anything about penfriends, I have an idea I may have seen something there before. And, if not, no harm in making a request for a penfriend via SPIUK. Look at www.specialkidsintheuk.org
