DS is 3.9. Recently assessed by paediatrician for a range of issues (mostly physical problems, some sensory stuff) and she said he had hypotonia - we are now on the waiting list for physio and OT. And he is already under SALT for speech problems.
At the end of his nursery report, his keyworker said, 'Oh yes, and by the way he will be on School Action Plus next term'. And I nodded and said 'Mm-hmm, I see', which was an error because I have no idea what that means
Googling offers me helpful insights like 'SA+ is for children who have not made the expected progress on School Action'
Does it just mean that every term they fill out a piece of paper saying, no, DS still can't reliably walk down stairs without falling? What should I be looking for here?
Sorry if I sound dozy, the diagnosis was a bit of a surprise as I thought it would be dyspraxia (Dr Google fails again), and we have a scary 6 weeks to wait for the genetic test results.

DS on School Action Plus next year - what does this actually mean in practical terms?
