So anyway made a decision late last night to label anything and everything in the house with symbols (long story). So spent this morning printing out large PECS symbols, laminating etc etc- left the finished symbols next to the laminator to come back to the computer to do a few more- and yep- ds1 has decided to shove them through the laminator again. Has destroyed 2 laminator feeding thingies in the process and 80% of the symbols need redoing.

I am not happy.

Incidentally Tchibo has lamiators for 12 quid at the moment.

Its hard enough decided to do this stuff and then actually doing it, only to find it ruined. I'd be gutted as it takes me ages to get on top of PECs stuff. I used to wonder about putting PECs pictures on things all around the house. A friend of mine did and I admired her greatly for it. I think that after a while they become invisible iyswim, although worth doing. Maybe you'll have to do them all again on a different background colour or something in a few months to "freshen" them up???? Well done though.

Oh no.
ds currently has this really annoying habbit of taking freshly washed and folded clothes (my own fault probably for not getting them put away quick enough) and then putting them back in the laundry basket or washing machine.

SOOOO annoying! i guess its his way of trying to help but it does drive me mad.

yes I thought that about the invisiible thing as well. My aim is to move ontop videos though. DS1 LOVES watching hinmself on video so will make some then annotate with a PECS worksheet- "daddy running" etc - REalised that ds1's "language" is all PECS. He can understand jolly lonmg PECS sentences.......
