My 14 year old DD who has dyspraxia has finally go managed to improve her Social Skills
She has been into town with friends twice this Summer. The first time I helped her arrange it. But yesterday for the first time she did all the arranging herself without any help from me or DH.
She phoned a friend and suggested going into town she then arranged to meet a group of them outside Toys R Us at 1 o'clock.
I was going into town so went in at the same time as her and got her to show me the way to Toys R Us ( she wasn't quite sure). I stayed discreetly across the road to make sure everything was fine and left when the first friend arrived. She had a great time and managed to get herself home on the bus.
Once again I am so proud of her and relieved that she now has friends to go around with.
