I just cannot believe that dd is 7 today.

She was so excited this morning and was up at 7.

I think as AB has said we have come such a long way and tbh so have I.

I am so much more able to deal with situations that I couldn't say this time next year.

We are going to the park and a friend from the unit is coming round to play. Then over to my mum's later to pick up her present from mum and dad, a guinea pig. She is going to love him. Ds and I saw him Tuesday and he is gorgeous. 12 weeks old and chocolate brown.
The funny thing was last night dh was building her bike and I told dd she wasn't allowed downstairs. I had to laugh when she said "don't worry mum I won't look at dad building my bike ". We were stunned as don't know how she knew. It was so funny at the time and typical of dd!

ROFL about the bike!

Happy birthday to dd. After reading one of your earlier posts I always think of her as being a future purple-haired author. I can't wait to hear what she decides to call the guinea pig (if it doesn't already have a name).

Nope. You can't get anything past the little monkeys, can you? I was telling ds2 this morning about what happens when milk teeth fall out. (He's interested because of ds1 losing his). Ds2 piped up "Yes and then Mummy is the tooth fairy and puts money under the pillow."

coppertop ~

Had a great day. Dd has been thoroughly spoilt as usual but I don't mind, she deserves it.

Talking about Purple haired authors coppertop dd is currently sat by the guinea pig cage (she has named him Pickles) reading him Captain Underpants. You have to see her to believe it

Thanks AB. Glad you also had a nice day too

Yes we have come such a long way and I am really proud of dd as a lot of her progress is through her own hard work and determination

To see her in the park today laughing and giggling with other children her age was great. Even better when someone pointed out her 7 badge and they all started singing Happy Birthday (she had never met these kids before). Dd was so chuffed!
