Our SN area is not a substitute for expert advice. While many Mumsnetters have a specialist knowledge of special needs, if they post here they are posting as members, not experts. There are, however, lots of organisations that can help - some suggestions are listed here. If you've come across an organisation that you've found helpful, please tell us. It's a good job it was deleted, I was getting drawn in which I don't normally. Most of it was a blatant wind up. In a way I think they should leave stuff like that on so people can see the more measured, sensible views from SN posters.

It's just depressing that that is the majority view.

I added to the thread but only read the OP so didn't see the disablist stuff thankfully.

Thread has now been deleted. The OP was blatantly lying. All the replies were horrible - more concerned by 'safeguarding' issues than the fact that a person was being disablist by reinforcing ignorant views about SEN.

It's going, I wish I had a troll radar sad

grin

I've emailed MNHQ, reminded them of their 'This is my child' campaign, said I'd like them to comment on threads like this, that we shouldn't be having to educate ignorant cunts posters and that we are losing valuable MNSNers as a result of lack of action on the main boards. I know it's nothing new and MNSNers have been asking this for ages. The campaign feels like meaningless lip service if they don't actually challenge blatant disablism on threads like that.

I have my bingo card out. I'm close to getting my corners.

Thank you flowers it's a horrible thread and I should have hidden it.

NameChange70 Sun 03-Nov-13 13:12:16

Hi I have responded. Depressing reading for a Sunday afternoon.

PolterGoose Sun 03-Nov-13 13:01:51

Can anyone feeling up to it please help me out on this AIBU thread about adhd please?

I've reported to MNHQ twice and been told they'll 'keep an eye on it'...
