Ds is 5. He's in Yr1. He managed ok in reception class but slowly deteriorated by the end if the school year. Ds has very poor vision.
I was not aware there was a problem until Easter as school didn't tell me anything was wrong.
Ds basically wont do as he's told. Not following instructions, throws things, kicks, bites and disruptive.
Ds is fine at home. He used to be a happy, cheerful little lad who played with the other children at school. Now he's unhappy & stressed. School say its home thats the problem as I have another ds with complex & severe ASD & ADHD. I feel school have not acknowledged ds lack of vision or the implications of his limited vision.
The school think ds5 is slso autistic. I don't. Im at my wits end. Im probably going to take ds out of school as its pointless him being there. He is miserable & not learning. The school still haven't sentboff the CAF...4 months delay. It took 2 years to get my oldest ds diagnosed- god knows how long it will take the younger ds to be assessed.
What should I do? How's the best way to handle this situation?
Tia!
