Fab thanks. I like the look of the online training.

I've just started the first module of the e-learning course and it's quite challenging

Anyone else doing or planning to do it?

How does it work then. Do they test your knowledge?! I would like to do it, my son is starting special school after 2 years in ms. Wish I had done it two years ago. Would like the knowledge and hopefully give me bit more confidence moving forward.

As mentioned earlier, I've only just started. The first section of module one consists of 10 questions with multiple choice answers. Each question outlines a case/scenario and you have to decide whether the child in question has sen, SN, can be supported by school, or needs an SA, etc; there is a reference list of links on the page to refer to. The next section was questions on the law. I haven't attempted this yet.

I wonder if this course is similar to the one IPSEA volunteers go on.

I suspect it is similar. I started an NAS volunteer one (my dad then became terminally ill) and it sounds very similar.

Thanks for the link. The modules look to be very useful - I have a feeling I'm going to need the Annual Review one at some point.
