Is it to early for a celebratory toast?

I'm sobbing! Which isn't good cos I'm at work in an open plan office full of blokes!

I think the anger might kick in soon - anger at what my entire family has been put thro and my son's lost year of education.

im sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy for you!!!!! I have been checking to see if the result has come in as you've had a bit of a wait. I knew you would win :-) your story was very similar to mine and I remember the relief after we won plus the anger to. I didn't do anything further I just took the victory and the high ground and held my head high. my son is now soooo happy and settled and it was worth every second of the stress and people on here holding my hand. I cried too!!!!! and my son was out for a year - would take quite a while for him to start into school again but hes is attending full time now :-)))))

enjoy this moment - what happens next for you?? my best bit was the sen managers boss phoning me saying how we could now all work together! never heard from her again :-)

Oh gosh Towie: I just realised it is your thread! that's why I said i do not know what your matter is! lol

My stupid laptop is dying and permanently on "saving" mode which makes the screen dark coupled with my glasses giving up on me.

Oh I am super happy for you!! Lets look forward now...hopefully things will all fall into place, try to keep calm and positive, I know the LEA are shi*s, but for your sanity and your DS, you must look forward and try (i know it is hard) not to dwell too much on what they did now that you have the outcome you were fighting for

Well done. Well done. Think we are going to have to go there too to get a suitable school for ds2 so will be asking you for tips. But in the meantime hearty congrats.

Great news - likewise we have been there before. The stress was well worth the end results as DD is so much happier now in her new school. Well done.

On the champagne at the moment so sorry if my msg comes over a bit hicuppy! (Although I have no idea why champagne is needed to celebrate the fact that I've proved how severely disabled my son is! )

Judge overwhelmingly has found that the LA school could not meet need. My son has many needs but the judge found that severe dyslexia is the overriding need and that the LA's mainstream school with a speech & language unit could not meet all his needs - particularly dyslexia. And even with bought-in provision, the school wouldn't be able to integrate it all.

It is a very detailed Decision and I'm more than happy with it. I am very happy that judge particularly thanked the head of the speech unit for being such a credible witness. I never had a problem with this particular person, I found her very very professional and told that to the judge (literally). She was just one more pawn in this terrible game that LAs play.

Cost didn't come into it at all. My son's need over-rode everything else.

So my son will be going to a specialist dyslexia school in Suffolk Grin Grin

Son is over the moon. He and DC2 (grownup!) are now having a David Tenant/Dr Who DVD fest!

Best news I've had all day!

If ever there's a moment for champagne, this is it - a grim alternative future for your DS has just disappeared, and it couldn't have disappeared without you fighting tooth-and-nail to keep it at bay...

< hands over goose-shaped back slapper, and also some Thanks and Wine >
