haha Ellen! I didnt think you twigged who it was grin

Thanks Mareeya and sweeteamum smile It was definitely a "HELL YEAH WOOP WOOP!" moment.

And yes I think DS should go into parliament even if it was just to pick them to bits with his honesty! He could definitely talk them to death and force them to submit grin

Hi coff33pot. So pleased for your DD. she's made great progress in a reasonably short time. Well done her!

Ooo, just twigged it's your DD1! blush What a great confidence boost for her. She's made so much progress in such a short space of time. grin grin

MareeyaDolores Fri 26-Apr-13 15:10:02

Brilliant!!!!!!!
And well done DS, has he thought about Parliament grin

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 23:49:10

Thanks NoHaudin and ouryve smile you can untwist now grin

Its been a good day to a point even DS review today was good thats 3 good reviews in a row now and his IEP is being altered again to reflect this.

She was both open and honest with them upon interview so they know about her anorexia etc and already they have said she will have support in place if and when she needs it as they said this is an intense course and could put the pressure on.

I got a good feeling about this though as if going it alone to change her life around, then going it alone to sort out her future and be accepted into this is another good turning point for her mental health and wellbeing x

YESSSS!!!!

(And I'm still standing - notwithstanding this half a bottle of wine)

Thrilled for you both grin

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission Thu 25-Apr-13 15:35:16

fab, well done your dd smile

Well done your DD! My friend's DS (who I come down and visit from time to time) is at Truro doing A levels. He's dyslexic but seems to be doing well. The big difference for him was that he has to be self-motivated, they don't hassle you like at school.

GoblinGranny Thu 25-Apr-13 14:59:22

grin
What a star!

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 14:57:32

DS is 7 and he was going to University as far as he was concerned until he went to an open day with us for DD and he was told the cost.

He said to the lecturer there that it was far too expensive and did she know at his school it is FREE lol grin

GoblinGranny Thu 25-Apr-13 14:50:54

Oh that is absolutely wonderful!
Thank you for sharing with us, who knows, one day DS might see the point of university. smile

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 14:49:18

SHE DID IT!!! grin

3 a levels Psychology, counselling and sociology plus 2 gcse maths and english to up her grades.

I am so so happy for her (and my nails) smile

zumbaleena Thu 25-Apr-13 14:47:37

do update how it goes!

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 12:30:35

haha! thanks ouryve smile she has the jitters worried she is going to mess up so I have told her thats a good sign everyone gets the jitters before an interview.

ouryve Thu 25-Apr-13 12:20:22

Everything crossed, coff33pot.

(If i don't come back, I've tripped over and got stuck somewhere wink)

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 12:17:51

Yes it is good that she doesnt have to go any further right now and something she has wanted to do for a long time. Big difference in the overall cost of the course aswell by about 2000!

It will do her self esteem a world of good more than anything smile

GoblinGranny Thu 25-Apr-13 11:59:44

Sounds good, and if she doesn't have to leave home unless she wants to, that's even better.

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 11:52:43

Interview is Truro College. Its linked with Plymouth Uni so she will be able to do 4 yrs there instead of going away anywhere.

Psychology and Counselling is the course. 30 week intense theory course which would normally take 2 years. After that she branches onto which area she wishes to cover smile

Already doing a practical counselling course at the college to tide her over whilst waiting (hopefully!) to join sept.

On the biscuits now or the toes may get it ewwww

GoblinGranny Thu 25-Apr-13 11:40:07

Which uni? How far away? What subject?
You can't bite my nails, I barely have any. Jam doughnut instead? smile

PolterGoose Thu 25-Apr-13 11:39:57

Good luck coff's dd flowers

Honking for you

coff33pot Thu 25-Apr-13 11:35:40
