She edged her way along the side of the bath the other week in a desperate need to get the plug and throw it in the bath.

Then and this is even better, we were at my MIL's and she was at the bath again (this is where she does her most confident standng and where it all started) she edged along the bath clutching MIL's toothbrush and I was sat on the loo,(seat down btw!) and inbetween me and the bath was the bidet, so I turned it on. Lottie let go of the bath with one hand, held onto the bidet and sort of manouvered herself to the bidet, all on her own!

Then yesterday she was standing watching daddy have a bath, and I was sat on the loo (seat down again!) and she got herself so she was standing at the sink!

Big steps for my nearly 4 yr old bum shuffler. Watching the struggle was a massive tug at the heart strings, so, so proud of her.

Maybe, just maybe she will walk by the time she starts school in Sept 2006? I do hope so, I'd hate to have to carry her in on her 1st day at school. I want to stand with the other mums and watch my little girl walk off into that school.

I had a dream that she was walking the other day. It was just a straightforward nothing dream but I realiseed after that lottie had been walking in it

LOL , yeah crusing isn't the best word really is it, but don't know what else to call it.

God i really can see a day when she'll walk, WOW!

Blimey - properly hormally pregnant right now, that just made me cry, luckily on my own in the office!

Wow, TC, I'm proud of her too! She's going to RACE ahead now she has the knack and the confidence, and of course, the more she cruises, the more she will build up the right strength in the right muscles, and the easier it will be for her!

(I was going to bet you a bottle of champagene she would be walking for school - but thought it wouldn't be a fair bet, given the progress she's making! But hey, she will do it, in her own time, maybe for school, maybe a bit later)

Wish I was on maternity leave now and could spend the day in the bathroom with her!

Arrrh, that is soooooo lovely!!!!

It's fantastic when any of our children start moving on their feet, but that cheer is so so loud when your Child has SN!!

(ikwym about the preg hormones, this made me cry too - dopey mare! Just love Lottie though - am very proud of her, mental really, but am anyway!)

not sure Blu tbh. The first time she edged along bath she was but more happy about having the plug in her hand.

2nd time, she was just sohappy to be able to play with the water inthe bidet.

Yesterday at the sink, she just said 'ohhhh look' and then said mummmmiieeeeeeeee and bonked down on her bum, she doesn't get how to get down ands diesn't bend her legs, she just tenses and lands on her bum, legs dead straight!

I was saying 'wow, look at uou, clever girl, your didwalking, lottie walked, very clever girl, what a big girl', but no she didn't seem that chuffed. She's so not into the walking thing it doesn't please her or make her happy tbh.

Would maybe putting Lottie's favourite things (waste plug etc. LOL) just a tad out of reach possibly elicit more attempts at movement ? Or would she just go mad and get you to bring them to her ?
