This morning whilst feeding dd2 her toast - I was trying to get her to use the makaton sign for more ( Aussie way - just by tapping her chest) before I would give her anymore toast.

Dd1 who is sitting up at the table next to dd2 leans over and does more correctly ( hand arched and move it away form chest) whilst saying the word. Dd1 then tried to get dd2's hand and help her do the sign. I then did it again - only to have dd1 repeat her performance. Dd1's very earnest little face just cracked me up!!

Ds gives his friends piano lessons.

"No, you put your hand on number 1 and turn to Old MacDonald and you need to sing forte"

I did read that second children learn to sign much quicker because their siblings sign to them.
