Ed Psych difficulties

Have posted before about the Ed Psych who sees DD.

or should i say the principal Ed psych.

She has been to see dd 4 times, prepared a report sent it to the nursery and not bothered to phone or write to us.

Last year we had to write twice to her to get an appointment.

She poo-poohed all our concerns about dd having an ASD (she does NOT consider dd to have any social and interaction difficulties whatsoever) even though the CDC said she was showing signs.

now CAMHS are asessing dd and the ed psych has been quite forceful in her opinion, telling the sendist tribunal last week she sees NO SIGNS and is not sure what sort of tests our independent psych has carried out.

We have asked the chief exec to remove her from working with dd, not because we disagree with what she says (cos she is an expert and we respect that) but cos she refuses to speak to us or listen to us.

so dont know whats going tohappen now, just wondering if anyone else has had problems with an ed psych before and what you did about it.

TIA

Gosh, what a nightmare for you! We didn't have problems as such but it's fair to say that we didn't communicate well. Actually it's fair to say that she didn't communicate well!

I'm sorry I can't give you any real advice as fortunately for us DS2's pead report, SALT, SENCo and all the others agreed, only the ED Psych that wasn't so convinced.

I hope that someone more helpfull comes along soon and wish you luck getting it all sorted.
