Medical Needs School List Place Application - Is There an Expected Legal Time Frame ??

I'm currently in a pretty awful situation as regards getting a suitable high school place for my DD who lives with Ehlers Danlos Hypermobility & related ANS symptoms, POTs, IBS, Anxiety etc etc, ( I have it too, but currently my diagnosis is to be confirmed, but I have a long list of other disabling diagnosis) I've posted other threads as regards my battle with our LA, lost appeal despite lots of medical evidence, one consultants letter naming the school etc & resulting LGO complaint which is still in process.

Our LA are not playing fair at all, I think possibly due to earlier involvement by our MP rustling someone's feathers so they are digging their heels in big time & I feel they are also being obstructive with this application too - same person I've been told I have to deal with, was LA rep at our appeal hearing etc ec - they don't respond to emails, calls etc anymore, though my previous experience with them has been that they were friendly & quick to respond (change if primary due to duty of care & bullying issues)

Long story short, my plan B is that DD is accepted as a Medical Needs waiting list place - putting her top of the list of our easiest to get to, best pastoral care, best school for dealing with bullying etc etc

Though putting a brave face on things, DD is reacting badly to our current situation, she's withdrawing from any situation where she might be quizzed by what school she goes to etc etc, won't g to youth club etc etc- she's ill all the time, currently with a UTI on top of ongoing EDS & Anxiety flare up:( So I feel I really need some sort of good news to give her, but it's just not happening :(

Our SA office say they don't know if there's a time frame that a MN School Application needs to be processed by, just that it's passed over to the CCP - I only finally had any confirmation that they had relieved my application & that, that had happened nearly 3 weeks after delivering all my evidence etc by hand

Would anyone here know the rules please ??

Is their a time frame a MN application has to be processed in

TIA

Isn't this just a standard school admission application? Given that you're out of the normal admissions round, I don't think that there's a time limit as such but it ought to be possible for them to make a decision fairly quickly. However, education departments tend to grind to a halt during the summer holidays.

Have you separately allied for statutory assessment of your daughter's special educational needs? It sounds as if she would definitely qualify.
