We are looking to move to the Winchester area. Ds has dyspraxia and has a need for support in literacy. We can afford to buy in either Kings or Henry Beaufort catchment. I was a bit unsure of Kings as it has a reputation for being very academic and strict on rules, but wouldn't want to rule it out without getiing advice first!

We are facing a similar dilemma, but between Kings and Westgate. I have 3 dyspraxic Ds My concern is on the wider problems of short term memory and organisation, rather than the fine and gross motor skills, which frankly have been completely overlooked - there is never extra time for changing at PE, packing up, getting to lessons or even understanding the number of falls. These points are minor in relation to the question of help needed with organisation and the problems of anxiety which come hand in hand with dyspraxia. If your Ds has problems with organisation and short term memory then I would say Kings has not been a good experience for 1Ds. If those are not the problems then again our 2Ds has blossomed, despite the falls.
I don't know if you got any answers in time, I hope you did.
I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience of Westgate for dyspraxia and dyslexia in relation to help with the wider questions of organisational skills and possible anxiety?
