Picnic ideas

Aside from salad I'm stuck for portable food ideas that don't include bread. I use my healthy extras for breakfast & snacks but can use a few syns. Any suggestions?

Someone at my group suggested making scotch eggs using Linda McCartny sausages as I think they are no syns

Brilliant thank you all Grin. I'm going with Cous cous salad, hard boiled eggs, a potato salad (I've got a lovely recipe if anyone wants it) followed with fruit kebabs & a yogurt all of which should come under 5 syns.

I've pretty much stopped eating all bread based products now & feel much better for it plus it really boosted my weight loss so don't want to go back to it now.

I really like the idea of scotch eggs but will have to save those for another day as I haven't got time to do a shop.

the veggie quiche is nice and is no sins (has no pastry). I think there is a version of it (with bacon) on receipe of the week on website this week.

Basically you fry up the veggies- i tend to do onion, mushroom, peppers, sometimes courgettes. Spray a shallow tin with frylite, put veggies across bottom, mix 3 eggs with half a tub of cottage cheese, pour egg/ cheese mix over veggies. Bake for about 20-25 mins.
